In a northerly wind 7 members, liberated 130 birds at the race point. Wisken & Wigfall took 1st, 2nd & 3rd club, doing 989/986/979. Mr/Mrs Neal took 4th/5th club, doing 937.5/937.4.  Trevor Bull took 6th/7th clubdoing 923/922. M.Bull took 8th/9th club doing 856/855. No details on any of these birds.  No doubt there was a bit of banter in the Bull family ha!

Portsmouth YB4 - 21.8.2010
In a south west wind, 138 birds from 9 members were liberated at Portsmouth. Mr/Mrs Neal took 1st/2nd/3rd & 4th club places, doing 1103.9/1103.7/1070.2 & 1053.8. Trevor Bull took 5th/6th club, doing 1023.1/1023.0.

Basingstoke - 21.8.2010

Kesteven & Rutland S.R.C
Out of K & R 3 members sent 40 birds to the race point. Paul Maiden took 1st club, doing 1740. Yep!! Bryan Garfoot took the following 3 club places. Bryan's 2nd club was doing 1703, 3rd club-1698, 4th club-1609. No details for Paul's bird, Bryan's was his Belgian family. We hope Bryan's good lady wife get's back into action soon.

Wellingborough S.R.F.C
Seven members, sent 106 birds. Mr/Mrs M Smith took 1st club doing 1959. Brian "Big Man" Lawrence took 2nd club, doing 1830. No details for these 2 birds!! Club 3rd went to W.F.Line/Son/G.Son. "Laurel & Hardy's" bird was doing 1810. This little blue cock, was from a dark w/f cock bird, bred by Graham Stafford. This sire has flown the channel for him 12 times. The dam was a blue, bred by Suderland & Maddison, from South Shields. Bought at the Doncaster Old Conrads Show 2008.  Alan "Pensioner" Neville's bird, took 4th club, doing 1792. This cheq cock-bred by Dave Ibbottson/Daughter.

Out of B.L 5 members, sent a total of 92 birds. B.Hobbs/Son took 1st/2nd club, doing 1953.0/1921.3  "Uncle" Albert Farrow took 3rd club, doing 1895.3, No details given on any of these birds !!!

Bedhampton - 28.8.2010

Kesteven & Rutland S.R.C
Three members sent 53 birds to the race point. Paul Maiden swept the board, takeing all 4 club places. His birds were doing 1256/1254/1225 & 1207. No detail's of Paul's birds, but returns were reported as pretty good.

Burton Latimer S.R.P.C.
Seven members sent 153 birds to the race point. B.Hobbs/Son took 1st/2nd club, doing 1354/1353. Pete Chamberlain took 3rd club, his bird was doing 1328. No 4th club or bird details were given!!!

Wellingborough S.R.F.C.
Mr/Mrs M Smith -(Tommy), took 1st/2nd club in W.S.R.F.C. The "Wymington Trios" birds were doing 1350/1347. Dave"Darn Good" Gent took 3rd/4th club places, doing 1301/1294. "Darn Good" 3rd club was his "son of tyson", his 4th  was a van Lawrence cross.

We hope you guy's and gal's have had a good race these past 2 weeks. Mixed bag of weather to contend with too. Looks like the B.B.Qs will be on the go next week-end, forecast beautiful sunshine ha!  We hope you all had a great Bank Holiday, the next one is christmas (I think) hm! Frightening I know!!
