After much thought and deliberation I have made the decision to part with all our pigeons. I have instructed Mr Les Parkinson to sell all of our birds in two sales to be held at the Failsworth Liberal club on the 1st and the 8th October.The birds will be a combination of our Busschaerts, our Jack Van Alsackers, and our M & D Evans Vandenabeeles, plus one or two pigeons we have also tried. All of these pigeons have won pure or crossed for us. We have found the Van Alsackers and the Vandenabeeles are a brilliant cross and have won many 1st prizes for ourselves and other fanciers. As most of you will know, we have won most of the honours in this sport including clubs, feds, amals and combines. And in recent years we have won the North West Grand National three years in succession. In the last race for us, The Bamfords Gold Ring, we finished 6th sectionE, 9th open.
