LANARKSHIRE FEDERATION

Tom Corrie jnr

It is always a pleasure to attend Newmains presentation night, it’s always a great atmosphere and you are made welcome by all members.
President Ian Lindsay and Secretary Andy Frame run one of the best clubs in the land!
The club is a blue print for what you look for in pigeon racing, members want for nothing in this club, with facilities second to none. The level of competition is as high as you will find in Lanarkshire with some super performance lofts within its numbers. It’s always the centre of anything happening within the federation, often used for central marking, sales and shows.

The social night is manged by Wendy Whiteford and family who are worth their weight in gold as they put their heart and soul into making the night very special. Like most clubs there are certain individuals that are very special and the above mentioned are among them.

This year’s top table guests were Mary Thomson Scottish National Flying Club, Press Officer and her Mother Margaret. Both work tirelessly for the sport. Both done a great job of presenting and keeping the dance floor full.

After some introductions from Ian we were treated to a lovely meal, presentation and cracking raffle, the night flowed well with plenty of music and banter. The dance floor was full by the end of the night and everyone appeared to enjoy another successful event.

Top loft of Eadie & Kelly were this year’s top loft, but were pushed every week by Tam Richardson who had some brilliant performances. This resulted in some cracking federation performances.
