Newmains Annual Open Show

Newmains club provide fanciers with an excellent show schedule on Monday evenings..Managed by Andy Frame club Secretary, Ian Lindsay club President and Wullie Gilchrist Vice President.

First class competition and a great atmosphere is always provided.

As always the facilities are first class and with Wendy Whiteford providing lovely catering service, it’s always going to be a winner.

 

With the best of prize money and a lovely buffet (Included in the pen cost) in the social club after the winners have been announced.

 

 

The entry of around fifty to sixty birds per class (All handling) in the build up to the all winners night.

This was judged by Stuart Mullen of Johnston in Glasgow. Stuart is a past winner of the SNRFC National and carried out a grand job on the night

The eyesign was judged by Lewis Napier of Hamilton.

This year’s winner of Best in Show was club President Ian Lindsay of Lindsay & Henderson, with a lovely dark check cock that has performed well on the show circuit. Those who know Ian will be aware he is a hard man to beat at the shows. He is often seen at a number of the local shows. Ian is a great character and is a credit to the sport.

John Hood of Milton of Campsie won BOS with his lovely smokey blue hen, right out of his 1st West section SNFC bloodlines

Callum McMillan who had a good show won BYC, with Lindsay & Henderson winning BYH

 

The eye sign class was keenly contested and saw Wullie Gilchrist win a fine 1st & 2nd with Rab Simpson 3rd & 4th

Wullies winner had a green eye sign.

 

Andy, Ian and Wullie would like to thank Wendy and family for all their support and also thank everyone for supporting the shows.
