FOLLOW ME UP TO CARLOW

Week 4 of the programme had us back in Roscarbery, Co Cork. The race again this week was put back to the Sunday with bad weather forcast for Saturday, but the weather men got it wrong this week asSaturday turned out to be good. Nonetheless, with us and the Wexford Fed and the Irish South Road Fed all changing to Sunday and being at the same race point, it was just get on with it. The weather Sunday started off with heavy showers and these had cleared by 11am. The birds were liberated at 12.15 pm into a south west wind and a fast race was expected. The South Road Central and the Irish South Road Fed liberated together about 9,000 birds in total.

Around the clubs:

CARLOW & DISTRICT had the on-fire lofts of jj hurley & son taking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th,10th. paddy flynn 7th & paul kelly 8th.  jj clocking his lier market belg 07-33 that has some previous form. This his first win but has three 2nd clubs, two 2nd feds & 4th fed to his credit so far.

BARROW VALLEY had roly brennan in for his first red card of the season clocking a 05 cq w/hood cock. 1st roly brennan, 2nd onario rocca, 3rd tony corcoran, 4th enda kelly, 5th onario rocca, 6th benny nolan, 7th onario rocca, 8th benny nolan, 9th roly brennan, 10th joe brennan.

CARLOW PREMIER had pat holohan clocking an 07 grizzle hen to win the club 1st, 3rd, 5th. pat holohan 2nd, 4th, 6th. bolger bros 7th. des smith & son 8th, 9th, 10th jerry moran.

KILKENNY 1st e o dwyer. 2nd, 3rd pj doheny. 4th john murphy. 5th beale & doheny.

NEWBRIDGE had angelo marcella winning the club with a 2yo janssen x soontjen w/h cock doing 2019ypm, this one topping the fed. Newbridge had a very good result taking the first seven in the fed this week. 1st angelo marcella. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th frankie kavanagh, frankie clocking 4 birds in 46 seconds. 6th, 7th, 9th  jim toman. 8th h & r lofts. 10th n cruise.
