Derby Premier & Derby South Road Joint Presentation 2011

Derby Premier Flying Club & Derby South Road Flying Club recently held their joint prize presentation evening at their club headquarters on London Road. Guest of honour for the evening and presenting the prizes was Hayley Farrar.

Top prize winners in Derby Premier for the 2011 season were the Oakwood man & wife partnership of Paul & Lynda Todd winning Skevington cup, Shuttlewood cup & Huges cup and total prize money of £770. Runner up was L D S Johnson winning young bird average, Harry Morris cup and prize money of £400. Next came Jack Whitehouse winning Old Bird Average,Combine Average, Four special races average, Stevens cup & Cunningham cup and prize money of £340. Next came Terry Parker winning Mc Kechnie cup and prize money of £170. Trevor Overman came next with winnings of £130 followed by Roy Gregory & Son with winnings of £120. Next came Farrar & Peters with winnings of £90 followed by David Coote with winnings of £80. Next came Dave Waddington with winnings of £70 followed by Brailsford & Doyle with winnings of £40 and finally Ernie Barker with winnings of £20.

Next it was the turn of Derby South Road Club and first up to the table was the Spondon loft Farrar & Peters having an excellent season winning 9x1sts, 8x2nds, 8x3rds, 5x4ths & 5x5ths with total winnings of £580. Runners up were the Mackworth father & Son partnership of Roy Gregory & Son winning 6x1sts, 6x2nds, 4x3rds, 1x4th & 1x5th with prize money of £345. Next came Jack Whitehouse winning 2x1sts, 4x2nds, 1x3rd, 4x4ths & 4x5ths with prize money of £205. Next it was the turn of Paul & Lynda Todd winning 2x2nds, 2x3rds, 3x4ths & 3x5ths with prize money of £115. Dave Glew came next winning 1x2nd, 2x3rds, 3x4ths & 3x5ths with prize money of £95. Brailsford & Doyle were next winning 1x1st, 3x3rds & 2x4ths and prize money of £90. Dave Waddington came next winning 2x1sts, 1x3rd, 1x4th & 1x5th with prize money of £80. Next came D.J Coote winning 1x2nd, 1x3rd, 1x4th & 1x5th with prize money of £50. Mick Lesczszak came next winning 1x1st, 1x4th & 1x5th winning prize money of £40. Next came Terry Parker winning 1x1st & 1x4th winning prize money of £35. Next came Ernie Barker & Dave Stafford with 1x5th prize each and winning £5 each. Now it was the turn of the five bird section and the top prize winner was Jack Whitehouse winning 6x1sts, 6x2nds, 13x3rds, 6x4ths & 9x5ths and prize money of £114. Next came Roy Gregory & Son winning 6x1sts, 8x2nds, 3x3rds, 4x4ths & 6x5ths and prize money of £85. Brailsford & Doyle were next winning 3x1sts, 2x2nds, 3x3rds, 6x4ths & 2x5ths winning prize money of £42. Paul & Lynda Todd were next winning 2x1sts, 3x2nds, 2x3rds & 1x4th winning prize money of £30. Next came D.J Coote winning 2x1sts, 2x2nds, 1x4th & 1x5th winning prize money of £22. Dave Waddington came next winning 3x1sts, 1x2nd & 1x4th winning prize money of £21 and finally Dave Glew winning 1x4th and prize money of £2.

Finally a big thank you to Hayley for presenting the prizes also to hard working secretary Dawn for doing a wonderful job again over the season, to Jack Whitehouse for all his hard efforts in keeping the clubs running and to Lynda Todd for providing the photographs.
