Okay where do I start? This the first of many articles hopefully I can get to you to read! I would like to explain there really has never be a scribe for this brilliant federation (Don't ask me why).This fed was formed back in 1998 so its quite new compared to others but the big thing is we are well run and we are part off the great Welsh South East Combine and we compete against birdage sometimes over 20,000 birds.Plus we also carry the Welsh south east National.Where, all of north wales are carried by us ( well not all just those who have what it takes ) from three Marking stations 2 Main. One being the ever popular Denbigh station run by the great Peter Hughes ( Living Legend )and Deganwy run by Mr (combine) DL Jones.The other is a small but friendly place in Towyn this was brought in for members who live in the area and have no time to get up to the big stations.All off these have clock facilities for marking and reading also tea coffee and allot of banter.People who know the fed set up and hopefully new fanciers will follow this extra ordinary federation will notice there has been a few changes in the way this fed runs over the last year.One man has been given the honour of a life member at our last AGM and he is Mr M C Holt of Towyn this man built this fed put his heart and soul in to it and never got the praise he deserves . Well may I just say from your Eryri fed Mike Thank-you for all your hard work and most of all your dedication to make this fed work.

As a federation we have sponsors and we are getting around the world "YES THE WORLD" with these and its great to see ( confused ?) well I had a idea or should I say a light bulb moment this time last year, we needed money for the fed as I was a club sec I put my ideas forward to Mike then the fed sec.I said ; fundraiser selling birds to raise funds forget this phoning up everyone on the planet,I made one phone call or should I say Email to a Mr "popular& in the know" Les Parkinson.I and this fed have not looked back since that man and his team at www.elimarpigeons.com HELPED US! we made just short of a thousand pounds last year which to be honest went a long way.our fundraiser is on going and people can place birds under the Eryrifundraiser at the on line auctions.Before I do move on! from myself and federation would like to say a big thank-you to Nev Flett white-heaven for his generosity and being a true gentlemen ( not many of your sort left my friend ).So the seed was planted on my light bulb moment next question in my small brain was how do I get the credit these lads of the eryri federation deserve so with mike we built a website ( free one with piczo ) great if this is the way you want to go ) and easy to set up " come on I did it and I'm thick".Then we started to move forward in all directions.We have a sponsor off Gem supplement's this year 2010 WOW! who in the right mind would of thought US a federation in rainy north wales would get sponsors off that calibre??????The reasons being we are strong fliers up here and flying against 15,000 birds at combine level we are getting notice around the world ladies and gents we are well known and to be like this its great and guess what it gets better.The fed are not being byist in anyway UNIKON we love it every club has it and in my eyes its S**t hot.Ray Knight and his dedicated staff are brilliant to us and we are talking about getting new curtains for the transporter with Elimar on one side and UNIKON on the other ( Leave that with me )and don't ask me at a meeting as my lips are sealed.so we have Unikon on board as-well.I will ask you local lads who have not joined your local clubs in the eryri fed a quick question are you thinking i want some of this ?? but I cant stop there it gets better we had 3 birds in the europaclassic( www.europaclassic.co.uk ) the best one loft race competing against the best birds in the world yes little us and we held our own as-well so that was another sponsor for 2009/10.So in may last year I contacted Jose in Tenerife about having a spectacular go at the one loft race over there and because of our awesome hit rate with world wide attention it was agreed so we have him on board as a major sponsor. OUT WITH OLD IN WITH THE NEW great news as of the 28Th Jan 2010 we have a new website www.eryripigeonfederation.com as I'm writing this article we have already had 1,209 hits not bad for 6 days ah? so whats new lots of things really we have a new fed sec which is me ( I'll give my best to you all ) I also need every members photo in before march 18Th unless your wanted by the police..... we have Mr combine DL Jones as Chairman& Lib controller he should control me if I start giving it legs. we have sue williams doing all the monies and also lads fed fees need to be in By 1st of April2010, young Fred has stayed on as president which is good and the new conveyor Rob Jones. I would like to say welcome to all the new members in the clubs and for my club Martin and lee Bowen, so us galley members need to get on top of our game and also Ginger who also got voted in to the galley, that takes us up to 13/14 members as I said before we are without a shadow of a dought get stronger by the day.we have formed 2 sections now ( BIG ) north and south in the north we have the existing boundary and the south ( NORTH SECTION WELSH SOUTH EAST NATIONAL BOUNDRY ) is up for grabs we have Halkyn in already and a big welcome to them and anticipate other clubs joining before we kick off come the 3ed of April.Can I point out to people we fly against the strongest organisation in the whole of wales the southeast combine and it really bugs me fanciers don't take up this opportunity as you are who you are but when you fly against 13/14/15/16/17/18/19/20 thousand birds then that's racing.everyone agrees with me but at the end of the day we in north wales should be ONE! but we have little chance off that with people pulling in different directions.we will have a open fed winner every week and 2 section winners on the website for people to see also videos of the lib each week on Sunday evenings.So we have done all the hard work to make this fed even bigger to fly in the combine and don't forget you get eight pigeons free on all channel programme.so the sections are in place if you want to be part of something which is massive and fly with big birdage the opportunity is there.also we as a fed if we have more members this year will or might be running a duel channel/land programme 2011 where we bring out the small transporter for Sunday racing while the channel is on as we can do this as the amount of members count and we are on the rise.Just to re- assure the members the Gold ring race is the 1st Folkstone YB and we have already got the £1000 first prize.I would just like to point out there are a minority of fliers who are very jealous of our progression and stance,we want to be flying against the best birdage like everyone else everyone is invited to join in the Eryri federation boundary.We will only get better !!!if you hear odd things its usually lies and just to reassure members everything is 100% and nothing new from our AGM.So for this month tips don't listen to rumours from strange looking people we are fine as a unit, stronger this year and getting stronger If you want to fly against the best join us.
