Saturday the 14th of August and the weather had heavy showers forecasted with a lot of members not sending, but the race turned out to be a good race with members reporting they had them all back. Topping the Combine and the South section is Paul and Helen Johnson of Hedon on 1335. Topping the North Section is Alec Artley of Hunmanby on 1284. Topping the Central Section is Chris Salter of Hull on 1324.

Coastal South Section:

Hedon Flying Club. 8 members sent 273 birds with the red card going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1335 with a hen bredby Chris Greenwood off a Stuart Ward Peter vander Mewre's x a gift bird fromJess Hotham Marina V. D.Velde. Second place went to Chris Salter on 1324 with a Marina V. D. Velde hen. Third and Fourth places went yet again to Chris Salter on 1324 with a pair of Soontjen x cocks.

Fourth place went yet again to Mr & Mrs Mellonby on 1232 with a Gaby Vandenabeele bred by Stuart Knowles of Widness.

Second place went to Steve Sellars on 1286 with a Vandenabeele bred from his RPRA award winning Fed topper. Third place went to Mark Slater on 1279 witha bird bred from a M & D Evans Vandenabeele off Kerry Mellonby paired to a Gus Janssen x Brockampfrom Clive Lister. Fourth place went again to Mark Slater on 1269 with a Soontjen x Vandenabeele which was 1st club last week.

Flamborough Homing Society. 4 members sent 35 birds with the red card going to Mick Holdsworth on 1157 with a cock a gift bird from Mervin Hinchcliffe of Filey. Second place went to John Kemp on 1091 with a cock from his own stock. Third place went to Paul Lawson on 903 with a cock from his won stock.

Withernsea Homing Society. 7 members sent 126 birds with the red card and Second Third and Fourth places going to Graham Sparkes and Les Bennett on 1249, 1201, 1167 and 1166 all with their Premier Stud pigeons.

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 8 members sent 102 birds with the red card going to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1278 with a Koopman which is one of their Premier Stud pigeons and was 5th from Sleaford. Second Third and Fourth places went to Keith Todd on 1275, 1275 and 1272 all with Staff Van Reets.  

Hunmanby Homing Society. 9 members sent 206 birds with the red card going to Jason & Arthur Barmby on 1310 no details. Second place went to Alec Artley on 1284 with a M/M Beswick Karel Boeckx. Third place went to Dave & Ann Beswick on 1280 with a Karel Boeckx cock. Fourth place went to Bob Bedford on 1278 no details.

Loftus W.R.I.Club. 7 members sent 69 birds with the red card and 2nd and 3rd going to Thorpe & Weir on 1176, 1172 and 1154 with their Irish Busschaerts. Fourth place went to Sayers Bros on 1126 with a Van Winkle hen. Walter Marsey who is 80 was 1st last week with a Flor Engels x Busschaert.

Second place went to Don Smith on 1266 with a Van Loon. Third and Fourth places went to Colin Smith on 1250 and 1245 with a pair of Louella Roland Janssens from Peter Clark.

Whitby Premier Club. 8 members sent 145 birds with the red card going to Rod & Cath Lightfoot & Son Jason on 1247 with a Frank Sheader Soontjen x Staff Van Reet darkness cock. Second place went to J. Storr & Son on 1246 Richard is the bridesmaid for the second week running with a natural cock bred by good friends Millthorpe Bros of South Yorks. Third place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1235 with a Van den Brande x Guido Barberien darkness hen. Fourth place went to Alan Richardson on 1233 with a darkness hen bred from stock from good friend Ian Stafford of Skinningrove

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 8 members sent 104 birds with the red card going to John & Pat Hall on 1321 with a hen out of Moody & Turner stock. Second place went to John & Pat Hall on 1310 with a hen a gift bird off Dave Green. Third place went to Bob & Ellen Stephenson on 1284 with a hen bred out of their Humberside Trophy x Minster strag. Fourth place went to Bob & Ellen Stephenson again on 1270 with a cock same way bred.

North Hull Club. 6 members sent 27 birds with the red card and Second place going to E. J. Lister on 1143 and 1136 with a pair of Pete Mitchell Soontjen x Hermans. Third place went to Channel Man B & V Whincup on 1104.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 12 members sent 179 birds with the red card going to Petherbridge & Coates on 1276 with a Busschaert x Goosen cock. Second place went to Williams Brothers on 1269 with a Janssen hen which has already had a win. Third place went to J May & Son on 1242 with a Phil Irving Janssen hen a gift bird. Fourth place went to B. Rowson 1207 with a Davey Alport hen that won from Sleaford. Colin Boast wins the top bird and B. Rowson wins the pools.

Cottingham Homing Society. 8 members sent 123 birds with the red card going to Graham Revell & Son on 1273 with oneof their Janssen Family. Second place went to Kevin Kingston & Family on 1219 with his first young bird ever bred from his famous "Duracell" which has already had a 5th club a 1st club, 3rd section, and 31st open.Third place went again to Kevin Kingston & Family on 1214 with a Trevor Drayton Vandenabeele. Fourth place went to John & Margaret Rawson on 1204 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceusters x their Radar family.

Fourth place went to Jackson, Andrew & Kirby again on 1397 with a Hofkins which has had a 2nd from Sleaford.

Eastrington Rose & Crown. 7 members sent 153 birds with the red card going to Beevers & Fillingham on 1254 with a Arthur Sellars Vandenabeele. Second place went to J. Pickering on 1239 with a Willy Van Houtte that has only just finished sqeaking. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1235 with a Staff Van Reet x Vandenabeele out of their old mealy cock line. Which also wins the £1 nom and Meat nom. Fourth place went to Beevers & Fillingham on 1212 with a Wilf Kirby Janssen which has scored already.
