YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE

Peterborough - August 2012

Saturday the 11th August and 4,300 birds where liberated at Peterborough in a South East wind, once again sending them flying past their lofts. Topping the Combine and the North Section is Jess & Jen Hotham of Filey on 1575. Topping the South Section is M. Blackford of Bridlington on 1562. Topping the Central Section is J. Raines of Driffield on 1550. The Combine would like to send their condolences to Arthur Fletcher on the sad loss of his father Arthur who was a top flyer in the Middle Route in the 70s and 80s especially from the Channel, topping the Federation from Melun and Poitiers.

Coastal North Section:

Filey Homing Society. 5 members sent 131 birds with the red card going to Jess & Jen Hotham on 1575 with a Louis Thijs Belgium Hereman Ceuster. Second and Third place went to Jess & Jen Hotham on 1574 with a pair of Marina Van de Velde nest mates. Fourth place went Jess & Jen Hotham on 1574 with a Leo Hereman x Marina Van De Velde.

Hunmanby Homing Society. 7 members sent 165 birds with the red card going to Tony Robson on 1548 with a Marina Van De Velde. Second place went to John and Les Hill on 1533 with a Janssen x Busschaert. Third place went to Dave Craske on 1530 with a Shalwick x Van Loon. Second place went to Les Winspear on 1571 with a B K Hawes Leo Van Rijn hen sitting 3 week eggs. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1568 with a Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1566 with a Van Den Brande x Guido Barberien hen. Les Winspear wins the pools.

Coastal South Section:

Bridlington D.F.C. 15 members sent 286 birds with the red card and Second place going to Melvn Blackford on 1562 and 1561 no details. Third place went to new junior member Matthew Hutchinson on 1546 with an Ian & Liz Purver Vandenabeele. Fourth place went to Matthew Hutchinson on 1544 with a gift bird off John and Linda Chadwick.

Bridlington D.R.P.C. 7 members sent 181 birds with the red card going to Ellis & Foreman on 1517 with a Jackson Andrew & Kirby Hofkens. Second place went to Ellis & Foreman on 1515 with a Mike Kirby Vandenabeele. Third place went to Harry Smith on 1510 no details. Fourth place went to Ellis & Foreman on 1506 with a Jackson Andrew and Kirby Hofkens.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 14 members sent 263 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1492 with a Van den Bosch x Beeverdam. Second place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1479 with a Paul Gorog Leo Van Rijn hen. Third place went to D. Robson on 1478 with a Ron Hillcoat cock. Fourth place went to Petherbridge & Coates on 1475 with a Busschaert cock which also wins the top bird and pools.    

    

North Hull Club. 4 members sent 52 birds with the red card and Second place going to new members D. Franciosy & Daughter on 1413 and 1399 with a pair of Van den Bosch. Third place went to Barry Kipling on 1390 with a G. Davis Fountain Road Breeder Buyer. Fourth place went to Paul Jones on 1352 with a Janssen.

Hull Millennium Club. 10 members sent 206 birds with the red card going to new members A. Stone and Son on 1461 with a Gary Cox Van Reet. Second place went to K & H Green on 1446 with a bird bred by W. Brownlee off Kevs stock. Third place went to Harry Cullingworth on 1443 with a Van Lint which was flying to the perch and Harrys pleasant smile. Fourth place went to P. Stamford on 1432.

Cottingham Homing Society. 7 members sent 213 birds with the red card going to Dennis Smith and wife on 1520 with a De Klak cock sitting eggs. Second place went to Kev & Julie Kingston on 1502 no details. Third place went to C. Wood & Son on 1490 no details. Fourth place went to John and Margaret Rawson on 1479 with a pigeon bred off their Combine winner.

Second place went to Ted Humblestone on 1401 with a Heinz 57 cock. Ted had all his home when everyone else had some missing. Third and Fourth place went again to Tony Walker on 1381 and 1354 with his Brasspening x Gary Cox pigeons. Jackson and Fletcher win the beer nom.

East Hull Flying Club. 6 members sent 85 birds with the red card going to Terry Genter on 1521 with a Janssen hen. Second and Fourth place went to Gary Genter on 1421 and 1400 with a pair of Janssens bred by Terry. Third place went to Steve Anglesmith with a Rene Nauwelaert.

  

West Section liberated at 12-30pm. Topping the West Section is N. Parkins & Son on 1594.

Goole L.M.S.H.S. 17 members sent 382 birds with the red card and Second Third and Fourth places going to N. Parkin & Son on 1594, 1589, 1589 and 1589 all with their self bred Jan Lotterman x Van Dyke Coopman.

Eastrington P. F. C. 8 members sent 189 birds with the red card going to Steve Neale on 1476 with a R & B Smith pigeon. Second place went to Steve Neale on 1424 with a Phil Curtis pigeon that was 1st last week. Third place went to Steve Neale on 1422 with a Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went yet again to Steve Neale on 1421 with a Jan Aarden x Grayson x R. Sutton. Steve wins the Meat nom and £1 nom.

Haxby Flying Club. 4 members sent 118 birds with the red card and Second place going to B & C Mason on 1539 and 1525 with their Delbars. Third and Fourth place went to P. Hammond on 1469 and 1469.

Norton I. Flying Club. 17 members sent 316 birds with the red card and Second places going to Mick Burdett on 1539 and 1539 with a pair of Tommy Wardle (Chesterly St) Willy Drapers pigeon. Third place went to Mick Burdett on 1535 with a Tony Edwards Janssen. Fourth place went to Brian Dawson on 1532 with a Brian Ford Janssen.
