The sale will take place at The Lostock Club, Manchester Road, Lostock, Northwich, Cheshire. CW9 7NW. To be held on Easter Monday 24th March 2008. Viewing from 11.30am with the sale commencing at 12.30pm - please note the starting time. This is an easy venue to find on the Manchester Road, Northwich from Junction 19 of the M6.

The Jos Thone stock pigeons purchased at great cost.

“In 2004 I was looking for the best and saw an article in the British Homing World offering a trip to Belgium to visit the Superstar Jos Thone. Over that weekend’s visit Jos himself handpicked my stock birds which are sons of “Sumo”, last son of “Superman” and last son of “Sars “named “The Hulk”. At the time of buying “The Hulk” he was sitting two eggs, one of which was floated producing a Holland National winner when over 17,000 birds competed. Since then I have added a few direct Jos Thone birds bought at his auctions to keep the bloodlines and have at stock 12 direct pairs. The birds bred from these stock birds have never been sold and I am now offering these 62 offspring for sale and two of the stock birds, both sons of “Sumo”. John Capper.

Conditions of sale: The highest bidder for each lot shall be the purchaser. Any dispute the auctioneer shall have absolute discretion, to either settle such dispute or re-offer the lot immediately. Each purchaser shall give his or her name and address (if required) and pay the full purchase money by the close of sale.
