GRAND PHONE-IN-SQUEAKER AUCTION SALE (2)

The President and Committee of the L&SECC are very proud to present this our second Grand Phone-In Squeaker Auction Sale in aid of our newly formed transporter fund. Although we have a good ageing working vehicle, at the moment, the committee have been looking to the future of our Classic Club and realise that in a few seasons' time it will need replacing. Pigeon transporters are not cheap equipment to purchase these days and the Committee feel now is the time to start building a fund, with the view to purchasing our new vehicle when needed. Classic life vice president, Keith Mott, has obtained a wonderful draft of top class 2008 youngsters to have a phone in auction, to help raise funds to purchase our future transporter. This is a once in a life time opportunity for the general fancy to obtain young birds from some of the very best lofts in the world of pigeon racing, sprint and long distance.

Lot 1. Stewart Knowles of Widnes: Stewart is kindly donating a 2008 youngster direct off ‘De David’ winner of 1st open NFC Fougeres 2005 (raced by Wesley Sellway) when mated to ‘Wesley’s Choice’ full sister to 1st open NFC Vire 2000. A fantastic youngster and a golden opportunity to obtain stock direct off a first National winner when mated to a full sister to a first National winner. 

Lot 2. Brian & Angela Goodwin of Hanworth: The very best of the Belgian bloodlines. Brian is a brilliant all round fancier winning Federations at all distances, including twice 1st Federation in 2007. The Goodwin loft has won 1st Combine four times, from Penzance, Melle and Bergerac (twice). A great pigeon racer!

Lot 3. Mick Tuck of Godalming: One the best lofts of Eric Cannon pigeons in the U.K. today! Mick is donating a Cannon youngster out of his good hen, ‘Tucky’s Supreme’, 2nd open SMT Combine Bergerac (only five birds on day in the Combine) when mated to his best Cannon cock (Champion ‘Culmer Gold’ lines).

Lot 4. Alasdair Muir of Dorking: Another of our best long distance fanciers! 1st open L&SECC Pau, 1st open L&SECC Bordeaux, 1st open L&SECC Angers and has been five times in the first 50 open NFC Pau in recent seasons, plus 2nd open BICC Dax in 2003. Alasdair is a fancier who I have always respected for his great skills at long distance pigeon racing.

Lot 5. Adams & Gilmour of Portsmouth: Premier loft in National and Classic racing form 80 through to 450 miles every season! Tony is donating a 2008 Janssen based youngster from their Colijn, Ganus & Fox of Holland pigeons. The young bird will be from one of their top stock pairs that have produced many first prize winners.  

Lot 6. Crammond & Langstaff of Fontwell: A loft full of quality and several premier wins in National and Classic races to back it up. Winners of 1st open BICC, 1st open L&SECC in recent seasons and section A. winners in the NFC. Another squeaker to defiantly bid for!

Lot 7. Ray Hammond of Albury: Ray is one of the ‘all time greats’ of long distance racing in the Surrey area, winning 1st open SMT Combine Bergerac and has won the longest old bird race in the London & South East Classic Club three times, including 1st. open Pau (550 miles) in 2005. He has kindly donated a 2008 youngster from his champion cock ‘Simply the Best’, the 2005 Pau classic winner.

Lot 8. George and Maureen Bates of Gravesend: One of the best lofts in Kent ever and winners of premier positions at the highest level every season. The partners have kindly donated a 2008 youngster from their brilliant Fear Brothers mealy family and a defiant bid if you want the very best!

Lot 9. Trussler Brothers of West Molesey: I first met Dick and Brian in 1971; they were brilliant pigeon fanciers then and are still brilliant today! Winners of 1st open L&SECC, 1st open SMT Combine and 1st Federation countless times through the years. Two of the best pigeon racers I’ve ever met!

Lot 10. Mike Armitage of Ash: Another wonderful fancier and winner of 1st open L&SECC (twice) and 1st open BICC (twice). Mike has kindly donated a 2008 youngster off his champion Janssen cock, ‘Boy Wonder’ winner of five firsts and 1st open L&SECC Alencon.

Lot 11. Terry Haley of Watford: One of the best North Road lofts ever and the home of the great Champion ‘Misty Lady’! The purchaser has a choice of a youngster bred from a South Road Federation winner or a North Road Federation winner.

Lot 12. Darran & Des McFadden of Cranleigh: Put up some great performances in recent seasons including 1st Federation and 1st open SMT Combine. The partners have kindly donated a 2008 squeaker off their L&SECC Merit Award winner, ‘Cameron’s Snow Queen’, winner of 19th open San Sebastian, 39th open Bergerac, 29th open Pau, plus twice 1st club inland, when mated to they good Eric Cannon cock, ‘56851’, winner of 58th open L&SECC Pau (on the day) 2007, plus 37th open L&SECC La Ferte Bernard and 1st club inland twice.

Lot 13. John & Angela Underdown of Vange: One the premier lofts in the Essex area and winners of 1st and 5th open L&SECC Pau on the day of liberation (570 miles) in 2007. John has kindly donated the pick of his young bird team, a golden opportunity not to be missed!

Lot 14. Wasey & Lloyd of New Addington: Ron recently had an Entire Clearance Sale because of ill health, but retained one pair to keep as pets owing to their age and would like to donate a 2008 youngster from them. They are pure Peter Titmus, with the sire being ‘44477’ sire of ‘Bambi’ 1st open L&SECC Pau, being mated to ‘Marie’ flown 550 miles five times winning 2004: 56th open BBC San Sebastian, 2005: 75th open BBC San Sebastian, 417th open NFC St. Nazaire, 50th open BBC Dax.

Lot 15. Mr. & Mrs. Brian Wall of Havant: One of the premier lofts in the south of England winning many premier prizes in Federation, National and Classic events including: many 1st Federation winners, 1st SMT Combine, 1st section NFC six times, 1st & 2nd open CSCFC Guernsey (YB), 2nd open CSCFC Guernsey (YB), 1st open CSCFC Guernsey (OH), and in 2007 won 2nd and 3rd open BICC Guernsey, 2nd open CSCFC Cholet.

Lot 16. Fred Hall & Daughters of Worthing: An outstanding south coast loft that has won Classic and National races in recent seasons. Fred has won 1st NFC Pau, 1st and 2nd BICC La Ferte Bernard, and in 2007 won 1st open NFC Alencon. Another great all round loft, winning short and long in the very best competition.

 The telephone auction will take place from publication of this advert and weekend of:

February 9th – 10th and will finish at 20.00hrs on Sunday night.

 All the pigeons in the sale are 2008 young birds and the purchasers will pay carriage of their bird. Many thanks to our friends for their wonderful donations!
