"With Distance in Mind"

LOU`S NEWS MAY 2009

Well that’s another month gone by. It really does fly by. My first big news is that we had Francis Nolmans of Bricon out this week to rig up the last loft with the pads, and he has given us the new coloured electronic rings. As you know, Bricon is made by pigeon fanciers for pigeon fanciers so they really do have the fanciers needs at heart.

The new multi coloured chip rings come in 10 different colours. The chip ring stays with the pigeon but you can change the coloured ring to suit your individual needs i.e. for different sections you can use a certain colour and for cocks and hens etc. This is the latest in Bricon`s new technology. (see photo below)

The new rings have to be fitted and removed with the special pliers (shown in photo) and I am very proud to announce that we are the very first fanciers to have these new rings; no-one else has them yet so thank you Francis for making us the first.(not shown in photo the chip that you insert into the ring).

Francis was so impressed with our Janssens that he asked John if he would breed him some for his stock loft so that too was quite a privilege for us, as you can imagine. Francis probably visits some of the very best lofts all over the world. John offered him a selection and he chose four a pair of cocks and a pair of hens.

I have mentioned a friend of ours before who also lives over here - John Harverson. Well he joined us on my birthday when we had Patrick De Mulyder and his wife Karina here to make our promotional DVD with Keith Mott. John being a carpenter, he thought he would make me a nice present so I was quite excited in wondering what it could be. I should of guessed really shouldn’t I!!!!!!!

A NEW BIRD FEEDER!!!!!!!!!

Thank you John, I’ll have to think of something really special for your birthday. While on the subject of the DVD, I just have to include this photo as it could well be unseen footage!

The Motty does do dishes!!! Only joking Keith. Thank you for taking the time to come across to see us and make the DVD. We are well impressed. It really is good and the photo DVD is lovely too.
