The highest online bid for each pigeon will then be the starting bid in the saleroom. The sale will take place at The Lostock Club, Manchester Road, Lostock, Northwich, Cheshire. CW9 7NW. To be held on Sunday 17th October 2010. Viewing from 11.30am with the sale commencing at 12.30pm - please note the starting time. This is an easy venue to find on the Manchester Road, Northwich from Junction 19 of the M6.

This is one of the premier racing and breeding lofts in Cheshire with many outstanding performances through to National level. This auction is Part Two of their entire clearance sale of stock birds and features the partnership's entire team of Gaby Vandenabeele stock pigeons, nearly all bred by M & D Evans, including the breeders of their recent provisional 5th Open National winner.

We bought our first pigeon from the M & D Evans sale in Tipton in 2004. This was a blue cock that Mark Evans recommended, bred from Trade Secret and Destiny. We paired this to a Gaby Vandenabeele hen bought at Blackpool the previous year from the Vandeghinste Romain Sale. In 2005 this pair bred 4 cocks. Two won 1st Club, another was 3rd Club and the 4th hurt a wing and was retired; this pigeon was gifted to a fancier in Scotland and bred winners. The Trade Secret Cock has since produced 3 individual fed winners and a 1st Sect L in the N.F.C. and many more club winners. It was at this Sale in 2004 that we decided to order a full round of young birds from the M & D Evans Stock Loft for delivery in 2006 and it was the best decision we could have made as we obtained one of the last rounds from the original stock birds which were then 11 years old. Since then we have concentrated on National and Classic Club racing with considerable success and our performances have improved year by year, backed by this formidable stock loft.  In 2009 after 3 races we were 1st Sect L, 26th Open in the National Flying Club Averages. We started the 2010 season with  1st and 2nd Open in the in the North West Classic Club race from Portland and were then 1st , 2nd , 5th and 9th Section L National Flying Club St Malo. We have enjoyed considerable success throughout the season culminating in 2nd Sect L N.F.C. St Malo; 2nd , 6th and 10th NW Sect 7th, 13th and 15th Open M.N.F.C. Chale; 1st West Section 3rd Open M.N.F.C. Triple Chance Carentan, with the Young Birds. (See B.H.W. advert 30th Sept for details of further performances. ) - Mike O'Hare.

Note. Most of the pairings have never been rotated since we have too many pigeons and not enough time to devote to breeding and it is distinctly possible that the full potential of birds in the sale, that have not bred winners at Aquaduct Lofts, has not been realised. The best example of this is Lot 5 GB06T13433 paired to GB06T13428 Lot 4. They are the sire and dam to 1st N.I.P.A. 24,000 plus pigeons.
