"With Distance in Mind" At last we're back. All I can do is apologise as our internet has been down for nearly 5 days. It came back this afternoon. Attached is the training result from Monday's toss, about 65 miles. I liberated the first batch of 46 at 16.50 and they took 1 hour 23 minutes, so I'm very pleased. It was a light southerly wind. Some birds that did not train managed to clock themselves; they are birds no 89, 91 ,94 and 95 on the result. John has been in the loft since the crack of dawn basketing the later team of youngsters and they too had their first toss on Monday of 8 miles and again today, none in between as we have had torrential rain, and all have returned. We will train tomorrow and will have the Bricon on so you can see your birds return. It has been a beautiful day today so after the birds returned from training John has had them out for a leisurely bath and will basket again tomorrow morning for another trainer toss. Pigeon GB08P00005 owned Albie & Jan Deacon came back that night after the clock was disconnected with a broken leg. We have had it in a basket with a splint on and she has recovered really well.
