"With Distance in Mind"

Click here for the Barcelona Challenge Entry Form

Hi to you all. Just to let you know the yearling Barcelona team had a 30-mile toss today. It was very hot, 30 degrees into a south-east wind and they were home in 30 minutes. They are racing this weekend from Angouleme 350 miles and we basket Thursday for a Saturday race. I'll forward the basket list after that then I'll forward the results.

For those of you with youngsters here they are training up now. We are expecting Francis Nolmans of Bricon any day then we will issue the ybs with their electronic rings so I can then keep you posted on who is here and who is missing. We have lost some off the loft but have not lost hope that they might come back. Some have gone down training but as most of you probably know already, we don't pick the birds up to basket them, they are driven into the basket with a stick, with the baskets on the outside of the loft. We dont like to keep handling them so as not to scare them. The only time they have been handled was for the first basketing when we Ivermectined them. The next time we pick them up will be to put their electronic rings on so I will then let you all know what is missing. Here's hoping for some good results at the weekend. All the best, take care - Lou.
