By Good Corn

I missed Skelton Green info of my Cheltenham report but I can now say that the partnership of  Bill Chapman, sons Steve & Colin and the late Tommy Swinburne timed no fewer than three of their entries to win 1st, 3rd and 4th Club. With top spot being won by a well out in front yearling chequer Wildermeersch hen who went onto score a very nice 7th Fed out of a 31 members entry of 871 birds. The green card was awarded to another chequer hen out of the lads' Wildermeersch family while the yellow was chalked up by a blue cock bred by Cain Bros of Bishop Auckland. The loft of Bowden Brothers Mick & Boss and the very helpful Trevor Mitchell also had a trio of birds in the frame to lift 2nd, 5th and 6th Club with the blue card scorer being a Van Loon that netted 13th Federation, while the three lads' other two timers were both blue Van Loon cross cocks.
