DERBY NOTES

Saturday April 29th and both the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Frome with the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation getting the pigeons away at 11-30 in a south south east wind.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society getting the first pigeon into Derby and taking the red card was the Little Eaton loft of Mick Fearn. Micks winner was a two year old blue Van Reet cock doing 1775.In second position was S & H WHall with a yearling cheq cock doing 1763.4 followed by Farrar & Peters in third position doing 1763.0 with a yearling cheq cock, with John & Steve Hicks in fourth with a yearling dk/pied cock doing 1756.

Mick Fearn Osmaston Park Homing Society winner.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club John & Pamela Dowd made it a clean sweep taking the top four positions.Their first two pigeons were yearling cheq cocks doing 1771.5 & 1771.3 followed by a three year old blue hen doing 1747 then a two year old blue hen doing 1736.

In Etwall & District Flying Club Paul Williams gets the red card with a five year old cheq cock doing 1640 followed by Mick Leszczyszak in second position with a three year old blue cock doing 1632.In third position with a blue cock doing 1626 was Alan & Liz Houldsworth with Steve Billings in fourth with a grizzle cock doing 1587.

Paul Williams Etwall & District Flying Club Winner.

In The Brackens South Road Flying Club Brailsford & Doyle get the winner doing 1523 with a yearling dark cock.Second position went to Reuben Hough with a three year old cheq cock doing 1516 followed by Woolley & Rogers in third doing 1370 with a b/w/f yearling hen and Mr & Mrs Jason Phillips in fourth with a yearling blue hen doing 1323.

Bill Brailsford shows Brackens South Road Flying Club winner.

The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation got their pigeons away ay 11-45 in a south south east wind.In Derby Premier making a clean sweep was the Oakwood loft of Paul & Lynda Todd.Their winner was a two year old blue hen doing 1684 followed by a two year old b/w/f hen doing 1665 then a five year old blue cock doing 1655 with a four year old blue hen in fourth doing 1642.
