CLIVE YATES MAGNIFICENT SEVEN OUT OF KINGSDOWN IN YB SPECIAL RACE.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH SAW THE FEDERATIONS YB SPECIAL RACE OUT OF KINGSDOWN, 61 MEMBERS ENTERED 858 BIRDS WHICH WERE LIBERATED AT 11-00 IN A N.N.W. WIND, A FANTASTIC RACE FOLLOWED WITH TWO TAMWORTH LOFTS VIRTUALLY DOMINATING THE RESULT. 

 

Clive Yates with grandson Ralphie took the first 7 out of Kingsdown.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CLIVE YATES OF TAMWORTH, FLYING AT THE NELSON, HE TOOK THE FIRST SEVEN IN THE FEDERATION, TIMING THE SEVEN IN 8 SECONDS TO RECORD VELOCITIES OF 1320; 1319.9; 1319.8 (2); 1319.7; 1319.4; 1319.1.THE FED TOPPER WAS A FVW X VANDENABEELE HEN, HER SIRE WAS TIMED ON DAY THIS YEAR FROM 481 MILES IN THE N.F.C.; HER DAM WON THE BIRCH COPPICE OPEN AND ALSO WON 2ND SECTION N.F.C. MESSAC. THE RUNNER UP WAS A BLUE COCK CALLED “RAMBO”; CLIVE HAD TO STITCH HIM UP AFTER COMING BACK FROM A RACE WITH A HOLE IN HIS NECK AFTER A BOP ATTACK, HE HAD A WEEK OFF THEN HAS BEEN CONSISTENTLY AT THE FRONT, HE WAS SENT PAIRED TO TWO HENS SITTING 4 EGGS, HE WON THE £100 NOM. THIRD WAS A DARK CHEQ HEN, A PREVIOUS WINNER WHO WAS SHOWING TO A COCK. FOURTH WAS A WILDIE HEN OFF THE SAME COCK THAT BRED “5G” WHO WON 2 X 1ST AND 1 X 2ND FED THIS YEAR, HER SIRE AND DAM ARE BOTH FED WINNERS. FIFTH WAS A BLUE HEN THAT HAS BEEN SITTING DUMMY EGGS FOR 5 WEEKS, CLIVE PUT A YOUNG BABY UNDER HER ON MARKING NIGHT, SHE WAS CLIVES NOM IN THE CLUB. SIXTH WAS A WILDIE X GOLDEN GABY, SIRE WON AT 51 MILES TO 4TH SECTION N.F.C. SAINTES. CLIVE’S SEVENTH WAS PURCHASED IN THE N.F.C. ON LINE SALEBRED BY TIM ATKINS.CLIVE HAD A TOTAL OF 10 BIRDS IN THE TOP 20, A FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE CLIVE, WELL DONE. CLIVE STARTED THE YB SEASON WITH 54 BIRDS AND ENDED UP WITH 52, AND HE SENDS HIS THANKS AND A WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED IN THE FED FOR GREAT RACING.   

 

ROB HORTON OF THE BIRCH COPPICE CLUB, ALSO IN TAMWORTH, FILLED THE NEXT EIGHT SPOTS ON 1309; 1304 (4); 1303 (3) WITH HIS VAN DEN BULCKS. ROB ALSO HAD THREE MORE IN THE TOP 22, MAKING 11 IN TOP 22. IN TOTAL ROB WON A STAGGERING £909-00 POOLS, LOOKS LIKE A NEW OUTFIT FOR THE BETTER HALF ROB??

THEIR FIRST FOUR WERE ALL CURTIS, WALL & LUNT DRAPA / HEREMANS ON 1276; 1267; 1266 (2).THE WINNER WAS A CHEQ HEN WHOSE SIRE IS A SON OF “MISS MAGIC” AND HER DAM IS “WELSH GEM 89”. THE RUNNER UP IS A GRANDSON OF “THOR” AND “SHELBY”; OVER A FOUR WEEK PERIOD HE HAS WON 2 X 1ST AND 2X 2ND AT WINSHILL. HE WAS FOLLOWED BY TWO MORE HENS.

 

AT WINSHILL, 2 SENT 35 AND THE JIM & MATT PARKERS BIRDS WERE DUPLICATED OUT OF STRETTON, SO THE SAME DETAILS AS ABOVE, TAKING THE TOP FOUR.

 

AT BIRCH COPPICE, 3 SENT 46 AND ROB HORTON TOOK THE TOP FOUR ON 1309 AND 1304 (3); ALL VAN DEN BULCKS, THE WINNER A YOUNG COCK FOLLWED BY THREE HENS.

 

AT THE NELSON, 9 SENT 250 AND CLIVE YATES HAD HIS TEAM ON FIRE, TAKING THE TOP 7; AND 13 IN THE TOP 14, CLIVE WON THE £100 PRIZEMONEY; £65 RING SPECIAL AND £30 IN POOLS. THESE BIRDS WENT ON TO DOMINATE THE FED RESULT, DETAILS ABOVE.

 

AT SWADLINCOTE, MR & MRS TREVOR COLLINS & SON TOOK THE TOP FOUR ON 1303; 1268 (2); 1253; THEIR FIRST A LAMBRECHT COCK OUT OF “THE GOOD HEN”; FOLLOWED BY A LEO VAN RIJN BRED BY BRIAN BALDWIN; THEN ANOTHER LAMBRECHT COCK AND A STEFAAN LAMBRECHT COCK OFF BORDER LOFTS.

 

AT OSMASTON PARK, 13 SENT 173 AND MICK STONE TOOK THE TOP TWO SPOTS ON 1255; 1253; BOTH ERIC CEULEMAN HENS.  PAT TILSON WAS 3RD ON 1248 WITH A YOUNG HEN OFF STOCK FROM JOHN DOWD AND BARRY ODOM; AND DAVE WADDINGTON WAS 4TH ON 1240 WITH A YOUNG COCK OFF ALAN BRASSINGTON STOCK.

 

 

AT ETWALL; 7 SENT 64 AND ALAN PEACH TOOK THE TOP THREE ON 1192; 1164; 1159; THE WINNER A ROLAND JANSENNE FOLLOWED BY ONE OFF PETE HARRISON AND ONE-OFF SAM PHILLIPS.  MR & MRS TONY WHITEHURST WERE 4TH ON 1158
