YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

The last race of the season was from Billericay on the 28th September and was liberated in a strong West South West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin of Bridlington on 1674. Topping the Central Section is Mr & Mrs Lenny King of Hull on 1583. Topping the North Section is S. Mallinson & Son of Whitby on 1557. Topping the West Section is B. Ford & Sons of Norton on 1432. Well done to everyone.

 

Coastal South Section:

 

Flamborough Homing Society. 7 members sent 187 birds with the red card Second Third & Fourth all going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin all on 1674.    

 

Holderness Flying Club. 5 members sent 73 birds with the red card going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1642 with a self bred Premier stud Sablon x Premier stud Herman Ceuster. Second place went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1572 with a self bred Premier stud Sablon x Peter Vander Merwe.  Third place went to Chris Syrett on 1563 with a self bred Jan Arden x Vandenabeele. Fourth place went to Ken Lister on 1549 with a self bred Hardy Kruger.

 

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 5 members sent 103 birds with the red card & Second going to Mr & Mrs Ashcroft on 1617 & 1610. Third place went to June & Phil Edmonds on 1609. Fourth place going to Gavin Leahy on 1593 

 

Withernsea Homing Society. 3 members sent 32 birds with the red card and Fourth going to Bob Keelty on 1536 & 1327 with a pair of self breds off Pete Chapman.  Second place went to Dean Adamson on 1377 with a Hereman Ceuster. Third place went to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1365 with his French stray pigeon

 

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Scarborough Social Club. 2 members sent 20 birds with the red card going to Keith Todd on 1491 with a Staff Van Reet which has had a 3rd Sleaford & a 3rd Huntingdon. Second place went to Derek Howard Paddy Johnson Roger Grundy on 1387 with a Matty Arkless bird which has had a 1st Sleaford & 5th Battle. Third Place went to Derek Howard Paddy Johnson Roger Grundy on 1374 with a Matty Arkless bird which has had a 2nd Sleaford & 3rd Battle. Fourth place went to Derek Howard Paddy Johnson Roger Grundy on 1365 with a Matty Arkless bird  

 

Whitby Premier Club. 3 members sent 65 birds with the red card going to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1557 with a hen bred by Robs good friend Frans de Coux   which had a 2nd Chelmsford & 14th open. Second place went to S Mallinson & Son on 1557 with a Louis Thijs hen which has had 2 x 7th Huntingdon and a 9th & 18th open.  Third place went to S Mallinson & Son on 1523 with a cock bred by Robs good friend Frans de Coux has had a 6th Battle. Fourth place went again to S Mallinson & Son on 1523 with a self bred Frans de Coux x Guido Barberien x Willy Verberck cock which was 3rd Chelmsford 3rd Sec 16th open & 3rd Huntingdon 5th open. All flown to perch on darkness system

 

 

Central Section:

 

Cottingham Homing Society. 2 members sent 32 birds with the red card going to Kev Kingston & Family on 537 with a Jan Arden which flew Carenton 2 weeks ago in the National. Second Third & Fourth place went to Kev Kingston & family on 1482 1478 & 1469 with his Jan Arden family.  

 

Hull Millennium Club. 9 members sent 134 birds with the red card Third & Fourth place going to Alan Stone & Son on 1573, 1554 & 1534 all with his self bred Soontjens x Herman Ceusters. Second place went to John & Jackie Hall on 1554 with a self bred Karel Boeckx x Vic Moody winner of the ring Derby.

 

Driffield Homing Society. 5 members sent 31 birds with the red card going to C & K Pallant on 1378 with a Van Loon. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Bumby on 1290 with a self bred Vandenabeele. Third place went to J. W. Hubbard & Son on 1255 with a self bred Leo Herman. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1213 with a Vandenabeele. A Welford sponsor was 1st Colin Pallant, 2nd & 4th Mr & Mrs Brumby. Third J. W Hubbard & Son. Colin also wint the C Turner Memorial Trophy & meat nom. A big Thank you goes to Arthur for all his Sponsors throughout the racing season. Winter Shows start in November.

 

North Hull Club. 3 members sent 48 birds with the red card Second & Third place going to S. Siddle on 1536, 1504 & 1483. Fourth place went to D. Sultan on 1452.  

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 2 members sent 19 birds with the red card Second & Third going to B. Rowson on 1449, 1414 & 1410. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1404.

 

Kingston Flying Club. 2 members sent 16 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs L King on 1583 with a Cooreman x Janssen. Second place went to Mr & Mrs L King on 1569 with a Cooreman a previous winner. Third place went to Mr & Mrs L King on 1559 with a Janssen. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs L King on 1530 with a Cooreman a prevouse prize winner. Noel wins the pools.                               

 

Wawne Ferry Club. 2 members sent 14 birds with the red card and Second Third & Fourth going to Anderson & Anderson on 1522 1221 979 & 956 The 1st & 4th pigeons are Gevaert Van Schoorisse x Leo Van Rijn. 2nd & 3rd pigeons are Flor Engels x Gevaert Van Schoorisse.  

 

West Section 

 

Norton I. Flying Club. 4 members sent 64 birds with the red card Second and third places going to the partnership of B. Ford & Sons on 1432, 1431 & 1430 with their family of birds Fourth place went to Andy Freer on 1320.
