YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Arras on the 9th of June was liberated in a South West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Dean Adamson of Withernsea on 1507. Topping the Central Section is Alan Stone & Son of Hull on 1465. Topping the North Section is S. Mallinson & Son of Whitby on 1452.Topping the West Section is Howard Jackson on Norton on 1422. Well done everyone on the result.

 

Coastal South Section:

 

Withernsea Homing Society. 5 members sent 58 birds with the red card going to Dean Adamson on 1507 with a Kruger x Hereman Ceuster. Second Place went to Rob Keelty on 1447 with a Vandenabeele from J. Walker stock. Third place went to Dave Beadle on 1378 with a S. Turley self bred. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 1378 with a Danny Van Dyke hen.  

 

Flamborough Homing Society. 9 members sent 106 birds with the red card and Fourth place going to Hoggard & Linley & Ellis on 1505 & 1491 with one off Shane Reading stock. Second place went to Mellonby Knowles & Simpkin on 1505. Third place went to Bell & Evans on 1500.  

 

Bridlington D.F.C. 4 members sent 16 birds with the red card and Second place going to Harry Smith on 1462 & 1384 with a self bred pair of yearlings. Third place went to Mr & Mrs O Wilkinson on 1354 with a 2yr old Janssen. Fourth place went to Riley & Kian Wilkinson on 1316 with a 2yr old bred from their granddads Janssens.  

 

Holderness Flying Club. 4 members sent 34 birds with the first for positions all going to John Wadsworth first on 1485 Bred off his two famous strags he got in and their children and grand children are all winning. Second place went to John Wadsworth on 1451 with a double g.son off P & H Johnsons Van Loons. Third & Fourth places went again to John Wadsworth on 1331 & 1330 with a pair off P & H Johnson stock.  

 

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 5 members sent 54 birds with the red card and the next three positions all going to Gavin Leahy on 1440, 1439, 1439 & 1438 all with his family of pigeons.

  

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 53 birds with the red card going to Martin Wood on 1441 with a yearling Rietveld x Marshall & Smith. Second and Fourth places went to Derek Howard Paddy Johnson and Roger Grundy on 1429 & 1342 with a pair off his once again good friends Keith & Matthew Arkless which have scored before. Third Place went to our hard-working basket man Andy Moon on 1365 with a Dean Ingle gift bird off his George Boy (named after his late uncle).     

   

Whitby Premier Club. 3 members sent 20 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son on 1452 with a 4yr old self bred Louis Thijs hen which has had a 1st & 2nd open and a 4th from Arras 2 x 4th Huntingdon 5th Clermont and a 5th 6th and 2 x 8ths. Second place went to Alan Richardson on 1412 with a yearling widowhood hen with a self bred from his Louis Thijs no 1 pair and a 4th Chelmsford. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1375 with a yearling widowhood hen bred from his R P R A Winner Fourth place went to Alan Richardson on 1374 with a yearling widowhood hen bred by Albert Tateson of Kirkbymoorside she won 1st Arras 2 weeks ago Alan wins the pools.

 

 

 

Central Section:

 

Hull Millennium Club. 6 members sent 70 birds with the red card going to Alan Stone & Son on 1465 with a Wayne Brownlee Hardy Kruger. Second and Third place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1465 and 1464 with a pair of Soontjens from the Guiness Factory. Fourth place went to K & H Green on 1444 with a Herman Ceuster gift bird off K & S Marritt which has had 3 x 1st.

 

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 34 birds with the red card going to Kev Kingston & Family on 1387 with a yearling Husken Vanreel x Jan Arden sitting 10day eggs. Second place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1380 with a Wayne Brownley hen which has won this year and is sitting 10day eggs. Third place went again to Kev Kingston & Family on 1372 with a yearling Dave Robinson hen sitting 21-day eggs. Fourth place went to G. Atkinson on 1365 with a 2yr old Vandenabeele cock.

 

Driffield Homing Society. 6 members sent 38 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1390 with a Vandenabeele which was 3rd from the last Arras. Second place went to Geoff Acey on 1388 with a self bred G. Atkinson Vandenabeele x Rudi de Saer. Third place went to Geoff Acey on 1383 with a self bred John Redfern Hofken x Jan Huvregt. Fourth place went to Geoff Acey again on 1382 with a self bred J. Redfern Hofken x Jos Thorne. A. Welford s/p Mr & Mrs Brumby 2nd G. Acey. 3rd I Waggott & G/son 4th C. Sedman. Meat nom P. Dixon.

 

Nafferton Flying Club. 4 members sent 18 birds with the red card and Second place going to Oliver Shaw on 1454 & 1442. Third and Fourth places went to John Raines on 1370 & 1355 with a pair of 3yr olds.

 

Kingston Flying Club. 3 members sent 31 birds with the red card and Third places going to Mr & Mrs King on 1448 & 1412. Second and Fourth places went to Foster & Bennett on 1432 & 1408.   

 

Wawne Ferry Club. 7 members sent 41 birds with the red card going to Anderson & Ruby on 1459 with a Keith Blooman. Second place went to M. Szifer on 1414 with a Koopman. Third place went to M. Szifer on 1390 with a Rafal Kowalski gift bird. Fourth place went to M. Szifer on 1380 with a Koopman.   

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 4 members sent 19 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1379 with a 2yr old. Second and Third places went to George Rudd on 1379 & 1370 with a pair of yearlings. Fourth place went to Bri Rowson on 1357 with a yearling.

 

 

 

 West Section 

 

Norton I. Flying Club. 7 members sent 48 birds with the red card going to Howard & Jackson on 1422 with a Propere Rik x which has won before. Second place went to Howard Jackson on 1419 with a Donkers x which has also won before and Howard won the pontoon, pools plus £25 s/p. Third place went to Maurace Hodgson on 1414 with a pigeon with Blackpool blood. Fourth place went to S. Robinson on 1411 with a Homer & Williams bird. V. good returns thanks to y.m.r. care in difficult weather conditions.
