YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Arras was on the 25th of May was liberated in a North North West wind. Topping the Combine and the North Section is Peter Thorpe of Scarborough on 1338. Topping the Central Section is K. Stamford of Hull on 1336. Topping the South Section is Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis of Bridlington on 1332. Topping the West Section is Howard Jackson of Norton on 1280 Well done to everyone.

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Scarborough Social Club. 5 members sent 49 birds with the red card going to Pete Thorpe on 1338 with Fraulien his 2yr old German stray which he got in as a y.b and has only been raced it this year she already has a 1st and 3rd. Second Third & Fourth place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1264 1207 and 1176 with his Pobor pigeons.    

 

 

Whitby Premier Club. 3 members sent 31 birds with the red card for the 2nd week going to Alan Richardson on 1272 with a yearling Albert Tateson of Kirkbymoorside widow hen. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1221 with a 3yr old widow hen bred from direct Louis Thijs stock has previously 2 x 2nds a 6th and 7th. Third place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1185 with a yearling widow hen bred by Andy Cook of Hull from his Geerinckx Family thanks Andy. Fourth place went to J. Noble Mark & Son Kiran on 1181 with a self bred 6yr old roundabout Ian Stafford Jos Thone stock. It has had a 2nd Arras 4th open also a 2nd 3rd 3rd 4th 6th 7th Arras and a 4th 6th 7th 8th Boves also wins the pools

 

 

Central Section:

 

Hull Millennium Club. 7 members sent 62 birds with the red card going to K. Stamford on 1336 with a Wayne Brownlee pigeon. Second place went to K & H Green on 1290 with one of his Ark family. Third and Fourth places went to K. Stamford on 1283 & 1282 with a pair of roundabout Janssens.

 

 

Cottingham Homing Society. 4 members sent 43 birds with the red card going to Dilsnad Rasul on 1305 with a self bred. Second & Third place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1284 & 1276 with a pair of self bred Jan Ardens. Fourth place went again to Kev Kingston & Family on 1254 with a Wayne Brownlee which has won this year.

 

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 4 members sent 27 birds with the red card going to B. Rowson on 1210 with a Pete Kemp Van Rijn x Soontjen cock. Second place went to George Rudd on 1112 with a Janssen cock. Third place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1103 with a Phil Sullivan cock. Fourth place went to B. Rowson on 1099 with a Davey Alport Soontjen cock.

 

 

Driffield Homing Society. 6 members sent 36 birds with the red card going to C & K Pallant on 1223 with a Vandenabeele x Van Loon. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1182 with a Vandenabeele which was 2nd from Arras last year. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1182 with a Vandenabeele which is taking its first card. Fourth place went to Ian Waggott & Grandson on 1150 with a Vandenabeele. A. Welford sponsor & Meat nom went to Mr & Mrs Brumby. Show race hens went to C & K Pallant.

 

 

North Hull Club.  2 members sent 10 birds with the red card going to S. Siddle on 464 with a Dave Palmer Jan Arden x Kirkpatrick late bred gift bird untrained till this year.    

 

 

Nafferton Flying Club. 3 members sent 10 birds with the red card going to Ellie Davidson on 1029 and Second place went to Sam Jackson on 1013.   

 

 

Kingston Flying Club. 2 members sent 30 birds with the red card and third place going to Foster & Bennett on 1234 & 1153 with a pair of Sayers Bros Van Winkle. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Lenny King on 1219 with a Barry Scarah Vandenabeele which was bought in a sale at the club and is a previous winner. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Lenny King on 1153 with a Koopman.  

 

 

Wawne Ferry Club. 5 members sent 36 birds with the red card going to M. Szifer on 1330 with a Koopman. Second place went to Anderson & Anderson on 1321 with a Janssen. Third place went to Clifford Draper on 111 with a Janssen. Fourth place went to M. Szifer on 1097 with a Koopman

 

 

 

Coastal South Section:

 

Flamborough Homing Society. 7 members sent 83 birds with the red card going to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 1332 with their family of pigeons. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1323 with their family of birds Third and Fourth places went to Dave Fussey on 1313 & 1286 with his distance birds  

 

 Bridlington D.F.C. 6 members sent 48 birds with the red card and Third place going to Harry Smith on 1314 & 1227 with a pair of self breds. Second and Fourth place went to Dave Lloyd on 1225 & 1222 with a pair of Lambrechs.  

 

 

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 7 members sent 135 birds with the red card and the next three positions going to Gavin Leahy on 1313, 1293, 1292 & 1289 with his family of pigeons.

 

Withernsea Homing Society. 5 members sent 68 birds with the red card going to Dave Beadle on 1289 with a Hereman Ceuster x Danny Van Dyke. Second place went to Dave Beadle on 1286 with a Geerinck x Reynaert. Third place went to Dean Adamson on 1281 with a self bred John Rawson stock. Fourth place went to Dean Adamson on 1219 with a self bred Dave Beadle stock. 

 

  

West Section 

 Norton I. Flying Club. 4 members sent 29 birds with the red card and Second Third and Fourth places going to Howard Jackson on 1280 1275 1247 & 1243 all with his Johan's Donkers x Lambreachts from Steve Price via Syndicate lofts
