YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Battle on the 11th of May was liberated in a Northerly wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Paul & Helen Johnson of Hedon on 1289. Topping the Central Section is Alan Stone & Son of Hull on 1280. Topping the North Section is Pete Thorpe of Scarborough on 1277. Topping the West Section is M. Hodgson of Norton on 1255. Well done to everyone

 

Coastal South Section:

Holderness Flying Club. 6 members sent 116 birds with the red card and second place going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1289 and 1259 with a pair of Sablons x Van Der Merwe. Third place went to Ken Lister on 1243 with a Sablon x Hardy Kruger that won the club last week from Billericay. Fourth place went to John Wadsworth with a self bred widowhood hen.

Withernsea Homing Society. 5 members sent 107 birds with the red card going to Dave Beadle on 1240 with a G. Bolton Koopman x Vandenabeele. Second place went to Dave Beadle on 1239 with a Sablon which has won before. Third place went to Dave Beadle on 1220 with a G. Rouse which has son before. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle again on 1191 with a Hereman Ceuster.   

 

 

Flamborough Homing Society. 11 members sent 258 birds with the red card going to John & Linda Chadwick on 1282 with a Brockamp x Derwa. Second place went to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 1250 with a Shane Redding Ceuster. Third place went to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 1240 with a Derwa x Gaston vande Wouwer. Fourth place went to Ken Gray & Paul Atkin on 1240 with a Janssen.

 

 

Bridlington D.F.C. 7 members sent 58 birds with the red card and Second place going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1274 and 1192 with a pair of Hereman Ceusters. Third and Fourth places went to Harry Smith on 1191& 1161 with two of his own breed. 

 

 

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 7 members sent 154 birds with the red card and second places going to Gavin Leahy on 1282 and 1260. Third place went to A. & J Bettney on 1229. Fourth place went to Phil & June Edmonds on 1212.

 

 

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 8 members sent 145 birds with the red card going to Alan Stone & Son with a 2yr old from the Guinness factory having now had 7 x 1sts. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son with a 2yr old from Gerry & Mark McCall. Third place went to Alan Stone & Son with a 2yr old multi prize winning Soontjen. Fourth place went to Alan Stone & Son with a yearling from the Guinness factory

 

 

Cottingham Homing Society. 7 members sent 87 birds with the red card going to Kev Kingston & family on 1180 with a D. Robinson natural hen sitting 8-day youngster. Second place went to John & Margaret Rawson on 1175 with a George Atkinson x Radar. Third and Fourth places went to Dilsnad Rasul on 1171 and 1170

 

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 8 members sent 90 birds with the red card going to Williams Bros on 1279 with a Dave Thompson Malderhart cock. Second place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1246 with a Phil Sullivan cock. Third place went to B. Rowson on 1207 with a Dave Alport Soontjen cock. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1201 with a Koopman x Vandenabeele hen.    

 

 

Driffield Homing Society. 7 members sent 122 birds with the red card going to Ian Waggott & Grandson on 1202 with an Alan Greenly Jos Thorne taking its first card. Second place went to Ian Waggott & Grandson on 1201 with a Van Loon taking its second card. Third place went to Ian Waggott & Grandson on 1194 with a Janssen hen taking its first card. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1182 with a Vandenabeele which won the 2nd Huntingdon. The club would like to welcome two new members Mr & Mrs Brumby. Mr & Mrs Brumby won the Arthur Welford nom 2nd Colin Pallant, 3rd J Hubbard & Son.

 

 

North Hull Club. 6 members sent 21 birds with the red card going to S. Siddle on 1254 with a Martin Dawson Hereman Ceuster gift cock that won last week and 2nd week before. Second and Third places went to Pete & Angie Burke on 1137 & 1126 with a pair of multi card winning Van Reets. Fourth place went to Elvis Smith on 1099 with a Busschaert. 

 

 

Nafferton Flying Club. 5 members sent 57 birds with the red card going to Oliver Shaw on 1250. Second place went to Sam Jackson on 1190. Third place went to Ellie Davidson on 1187. Fourth place went to John Raines on 1187 

 

 

Kingston Flying Club. 3 members sent 45 birds with the red card going to Foster & Bennett with a self bred Gary Cox cock that won the combine last week. Second third and Fourth places also went to Foster & Bennett with his Sayers Bros Van Winkles.

Wawne Ferry Club. 8 members sent 80 birds with the red card going to M. Szifer on 1149 with a Koopman. Second and Third place went to Mr & Mrs Moonesamy on 1100 & 1077 with a pair of Hardy Krugers. Fourth place went to A & K Hajduk on 1059 with a Staff Van Reet. 

 

 

 

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 46 birds with the red card going to Pete Thorpe on 1277 with a 2yr old German stray that he got in as a young bird. Second & Fourth places went to Derek Howard Paddy Johnson Roger Grundy on 1211 with once again his Keith Arkless pigeons. Third place went to Andy Moon on 1203 with a Tony Robson Marina Van De Velde.      

 

 

Whitby Premier Club.  5 members sent 94 birds with the red card going again to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1264 with a Foxwood loft Geerinck roundabout cock which won Billericay. Second place went to James McCourt & Son Dale with a 2yr old Bosua hen bred by Paul Fisher of Blackpool had cards as young bird. Third place went to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1242 with a Patrick de Meutter x Louis Thijs

yearling cock which was 2nd at Billericay 3rd at Huntingdon. Fourth place went to J Noble & Son Mark & Kieran on 1242 with a 2yr old roundabout Leo Heremans hen which was 4th at Billericay and has had a 4th 6th 7th previous cards

 

 

 West Section 

Norton I. Flying Club. 10 members sent 143 birds with the red card going to Maurace Hodgson on 1255 with a Rob Mallinson bird well done for an 86yr old. Second place went to Howard Jackson on 1249 with an Ian Stafford Johan Donkers x. Third place went to Mick Burdett on 1245 with a Leemputten also winning pools & show race money (money to money) Fourth place went to S. Woodward on 1245 with Leemputten. Brill returns by all in difficult winds
