YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

WITH SUE.

This week the race from Huntingdon on the 13th August was liberated in a S. West turning N. West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Dave Fussey of Bridlington on 1408. Topping the North Section is Keith Todd of Scarborough on 1396. Topping the Central Section is P. Stamford of Hull on 1377. Topping the West Section is Brian Ford & Sons of Norton on 1370. Well done Dave and everyone on the result.

 

Coastal South Section:

 

Flamborough Homing Society.

9 members sent 237 birds with the red card going to Dave Fussey on 1408 with a Martin Sheffield through Steve Sellars. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1407 with a Gaby Vandenabeele which won Newark. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1405 with a Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Dave Fussey on 1405 with his own distance blood x Bernard Gray sale bird. 

Bridlington D.F.C.

7 members sent 78 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1380 with a Gaby Vandenabeele x Ceuster. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1377 with a Belgium Tony Peters through Chris Vasey. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1377 with a Vandenabeele which has had a 1st Fourth place went to Martin Milner on 1368 with one of his own breed.

Second place went to Keith Todd on 1372 with a Staf Van Reet x Janssen off the race team. Third place went to Derek Howard on 1367 with one of his Keith Arkless birds which had a 4th last Huntingdon. Fourth place went to Dave Pickering on 1355 with a self bred Marina Van de Velde off stock gifted off Tony Robson.

5 members sent 48 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1390 with a self bred Stefaan Lambrechts. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1387 with a Jacob Pootvliet & Locker & Breckon. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1387 with a pure Marcel Wouters bred by Billy Thomson of Nottingham. Fourth place went again to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1386 with a self bred Gaston van de Wouwer x Jacob Poortvliet.

Chadwick Hereman Ceuster x Vandenabeele.

5 members sent 113 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son on 1390 with a Gert Heylen x P.D.C. Hughes of Wales Syndicate lofts hen. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1390 with a Patrick de Meutter hen x Louis Thijs which was 3rd last week. Third place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1360 with a Louis Thijs hen x Guido Barberien. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1360 with a Louis Thijs hen. Bob also wins all the pools.

Second place went to John & Jackie Hall on 1368 with a W. Brownlee Sablon hen. Third and Fourth places went to Alan Stone & Son with birds bought from the Welsh Valleys.

Hull Chalk Lane Club.

8 members sent 120 birds with the red card going to Dave Thompson on 1336 with a Mathews cock. Second place went to Dave Thompson on 1331 with a Malderhart cock. Third place went to Dave Thompson on 1329 with a cock. Fourth place went to Williams Bros on 1318 with a Malderhart hen.

Driffield Homing Society. 7 members sent 158 birds with the red card going to Paul Woodmansey on 1356 with a Bob Mallinson cock. Second place went to Geoff & Gary Ringrose on 1308 with a Mr & Mrs Chadwick Hereman Ceuster. Third place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1302 with a Bob Mallinson having its 1st race. Fourth place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1298 with another Bob Mallinson cock. The Winnie Hagston Sponsored challenge race was first Pete Dixon 2nd Geoff & Gary Ringrose, Third Pete Dixon and 4th Colin Sedman. Thanks goes to Winnie.
