YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This Weeks race from Peterborough on the 24TH of June was liberated in a strong Westerly wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is a hat trick for Derek Nicholls of Patrington on 1685. Topping the Central Section is E. Barnes of Hull on 1598. Topping the North Section is Mr & Mrs Hotham of Filey on 1594. Topping the West Section is J. Pickering of Eastrington on 1523. Well done Derek and all on the result.

Coastal South Section:

 

Patrington Haven Leisure Club. 5 members sent 107 birds with the red card going to Derek Nicholls on 1685 with a Geerinckx hen which was 4th Combine Billericay. Second place went to Derek Nicholls on 1685 with a Heremans Ceuster cock which had a 1st Combine in a yearling result. Third and Fourth places also went to Derek Nicholls on 1683 and 1677 with a pair of Hereman Ceusters cocks. All the birds have had many prizes.

Withernsea Homing Society. 8 members sent 106 birds with the red card going to Pete Davenport on 1662. Second and Third places went to Tony Meek on 1657 and 1655. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 1652.

Flamborough Homing Society. 7 members sent 159 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1625 with a Hereman Ceuster cock. Second and Fourth places went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1623 and 1611 with a pair of Ceuster x Van Dyke nest mates have scored many times. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1618 with a Heremen Ceuster hen which has scored before.

Bridlington D.F.C. 7 members sent 97 birds with the red card and Second third and Fourth places going to Harry Smith on 1606 1571 1571 and 1565 all with his own family of birds.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 6 members sent 124 birds with the red card and Second Third and Fourth places going again to Gavin Leahy on 1664 1661 1641 and 1639 all with his Clive Lister pigeons.

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Filey Homing Society. 5 members sent 73 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1594 with a multi prize winning Poortvliet x Louis Thijs hen. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1593 with a Stefaan Lambrecht has had repeated potions in club this year. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1593 with a Billy Thompson of Nottingham Gaston Van de Wouwer.  Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham again on 1558 with a self bred Locker & Breckon x Peter Van Oshe which has had a 1st section 2nd open this year.

Hunmanby Homing Society. 5 members sent 98 birds with the red card going to John & Les Hill on 1571with a 2yr old Flor Engels & Busschaert. Second and Third places went to Tony Robson on 1559 and 1550 with his Marina Van de Veldes. Fourth place went to John and Les Hill on 1542 with an Engels x Busschaert. Get well soon John don’t be upsetting those nurses.

Scarborough Social Club. 9 members sent 156 birds with the red card going to Keith Todd on 1519 with a Hereman Ceuster x Staf Van Reet has already had a 4th and has had minor cards before. Second place went to Keith Todd on 1505 with a Staf Van Reet which had a 2nd from Huntingdon. Third place went to Martin Wood on 1499 with a Sablon x Marshall & Smith of Seaton Sluice hen. Fourth place went to Derek Howard and Paddy Johnson on 1488 with another of Keith Arkless pigeons.

Whitby Premier Club. 10 members sent 173 birds with the red card going to A. Richardson on 1518 with a self bred yearling Louis Thijs Heremans Ceuster cock sent on the chase and has had 2 x 1st Huntingdons. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1515 with his good 2yr old Frans de Coux cock which won Billericay last week and has now had 1st Billericay 1st Peterborough 1st 2nd 6th Huntingdon 2nd Sleaford 2nd & 4th Chelmsford 4th and 8th Battle and takes the pools. Third place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1509 with a Gert Heylen x Leo Hereman yearling cock which has had a 2nd Sleaford. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1501 yearling cock bred by Roberts good friend Frans de Coux  had a 2nd Huntingdon.

 

Central Section:

 

Kingston Flying Club.  4 members sent 53 birds with the red card going to E. Barnes on 1598 with a multi card winning Hereman Ceuster. Second place went to Andy Hunter on 1563 with a Koopman taking its 1st card. Third place went to Andy Hunter on 1540 with a Koopman which has took cards before. Fourth place went to E. Barnes on 1537 with an Imbrecht cock which has had cards before.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 7 members sent 85 birds with the red card going to Williams Bros on 1455? No more details given

Hull Millennium Club. 8 members sent 123 birds with the red card and Second place going to Mark Taylor on 1575 and 1541 with a pair of Gary Cox Geerincks the 1st one won last week. Third place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1540 with a Gary Cox Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to K & H Green on 1540 with his family of bird.

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 48 birds with the red card going to George Smith on 1538 with a consistent Hereman Ceuster. Second place went to Ian Tuttle on 1531 with a yearling unraced as a y.b. and this makes it 2 x 2nd  Third place went to Graham Howman on 1526 with a De Klak Pou that won Arras last year. Fourth place went to Graham Howman with a D. Robinson multi prize winner.

Driffield Homing Society. 7 members sent 107 birds with the red card going to Paul Woodmansey on 1544 with a 2yr old cock which has had cards before including a 1st as y.b. Second place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1529 with a 2yr old cock that was 2nd from Boves this year. Third place went to Pete Dixon on 1524 with a Michael Van Lint x Peters old stock. Fourth place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1518 with a 2yr old lightly raced cock that has been missing for several weeks, all Pauls birds are from Bob Mallinson stock. K. Gladstone wins the pools and Meat nom.

North Hull Club. 6 members sent 65 birds with the red card and Third place going to Barry Kipling on 1534 with a 1509 with a pair of self bred Richard Crawford Hereman Ceusters. Second place went to Vic Walsh on 1519 with one of his family of birds. Fourth place went to C. Wood and Son on 1480 with a self bred R. Crawford Van Reet.

Little Weighton Club. 5 members sent 31 birds with the red card going to Chris Fenn on 1461 with a Jos Thone cock that was 2nd at Battle. Second place went to Tony Walker on 1435 with a Hereman Ceuster hen that has had a 1st and 2nd already this year. Third place went to Jacksons & Fletcher on 1418 with a selfbred Thompson & Peterkin of Aberdeen hen. Fourth place went to Tony Walker on 1384 with a with a Hereman Ceuster cock which has cards to its name he also wins the pint nom.

Walton Priory Club. 8 members sent 68 birds with the red card going to J. Hopper & Son on 1540 with a Anthony Downs gift cock. Second place went to G. Block on 1527 with a Steve Sutton Busschaert cock. Third and Fourth places went to M. Foster on 1526 and 1521 with a pair of Fred Davies Vandenabeeles.

Jar In Hand Club. 3 members sent 64 birds with the red card and Second places going to Mr & Mrs King on 1569 and 1550 with Cooreman nestmates. Third and Fourth places went to H. Wallace on 1480 and 1477 with a pair of Soontjens. Next A & B Scarah on 1432.

Wawne Ferry Club. 10 members sent 107 birds with the red card and Fourth places going to Keith Gleeson on 1547 and 1530 with a pair of multi winning Rene Nauwelaerts. Second place went to Maciej Szifer on 1545 with a yearling Van Loon. Third place went to Anderson & Anderson on 1540 with a 4yr old Janssen.

West Section

 

Eastrington P. F. C. 7 members sent 87 birds with the red card going to John Pickering with one off Winnie Hagstons mealy cock, Johns bird was smashed up as a youngster then had a first and second. Second Third and Fourth places all went to George Atkinson on 1488 1480 and 1479 with a mixture of his own breed.

Kirbymoorside F. Club8 members sent 117 birds with the red card going to Howard Jackson on 1465 with a Gaston Van de Wouwer. Second place went to Freddie Grimmer on 1430 with a Marina Van de Velde. Third place went to Howard Jackson on 1415 with a pure Jan Arden. Fourth place went to Dobson & Allen on 1399.

Norton I. Flying Club. 13 members sent 184 birds with his first red card going to new member Steve Woodward on 1480 with a Wright Bros Leemputten also taking £30 pools. Well done Steve. Second place went to Brian Ford & Sons on 1465 with a Hardy Kruger which topped the Combine last year from Huntingdon. Third place went to Brian Ford & Sons on 1465 with a Hereman Ceuster which had a first at Huntingdon. Fourth place went to Brian Ford & Sons on 1461 with a Hardy Kruger x Janssen.
