YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Huntingdon on the 8th of July was liberated in a North West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Nathan Hoggard, Stuart Linley and Tony Ellis of Bridlington on 1394. Topping the North Section is S. Mallinson & Son on 1389 of Whitby on 1389. Topping the Central Section is Andy Hunter of Hull on 1372. Topping the West Section is B. Dawson of Norton on 1361. Well done to everyone.

Coastal South Section:

Flamborough Homing Society. 6 members sent 78 birds with the red card going to Nathan Hoggard Stu Linley and Tony Ellis on 1394 with a Hofken cock. Second place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1388 with a multi scoring Van Dyke x Veenstra. Third place went to Nathan Hoggard Stu Linley and Tony Ellis on 1386 with a Gaby Vandenabeele.  Fourth place went to John & Linda Chadwick with a multi scoring Ceuster x Van Dyke.

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 48 birds with the red card and Second Third and Fourth places all going to Harry Smith with his family of birds.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 6 members sent 75 birds with the red card and Second Third and Fourth places all going to Gavin Leahy on 1369, 1368 1365 and 1357 with his Clive Lister family of birds.

Patrington Haven Leisure Club. 5 members sent 48 birds with the red card going to Derek Nicholls on 1381 with a 2yr old Gaston van de Wouwer hen that has won 5 combine prizes this season including 4th Boves and 5th Billericay. Second place went to Derek Nicholls on 1381 with a yearling Geerinckx hen that has also won 5 combine prizes this year including at the hard Arras race. Third place went to Derek Nicholls on 1379 with his white Geerinck cock that was 5th Combine in the last Peterborough race. Fourth place went to Derek Nicholls on 1379 with his super yearling Hereman Ceuster hen winner of 6 Combine prizes this including 1st Billericay and 5th Boves

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 33 birds with the red card going to Pete Davenport on 1269 with a Lindelauf which has had a 1st before. Second and Third places also went to Pete Davenport on 1232 and 1227. Fourth place went to Alec Dodson on 1200 with a John Rawson x George Atkinson bird.

  

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 64 birds with the red card going to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1388 with a very consistent self bred 2yr old Derek Nicholls Hardy Kruger cock which has had a 5th and 8th Billericay this year and has scored before. Second place went to Pete Thorpe on 1364 with a 3yr old Janssen which has had a 1st Billericay this year and 2 x 1sts last year. Third place went to Pete Thorpe on 1336 with a 3yr old multi card winning D. Lloyd Hereman Ceuster which was 2nd at Billericay and has also had a 1st section. Fourth place went to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1335 with a self bred Kerry Mellonby Vandenabeele x D. Nicholls  Euro Ace pigeon.

Whitby Premier Club. 7 members sent 103 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son on 1389 with a self bred Louis Thijs Heremans Ceuster yearling   with previous cards 1st 4th 5th Huntingdon 8th Chelmsford 5th Newark 5th Peterborough

Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1383 with a 2yr old self bred Louis Thijs Heremans Ceuster hen which was 4th Arras and has other minor cards. Third place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1357 with a yearling hen bred by Robert good friend Patrick de Meutter which has a 1st and 8th Huntingdon 4th Chelmsford 5th Billericay. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1350 with a yearling hen bred by Roberts good friend Willy Verberck winner of minor cards Bob also wins the pools.

Filey Homing Society.  4 members sent 36 birds with the red card going to Colin Smith on 1381 with a Leo Heremans hen which was 1st Coastal North from Boves. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1381 with a Dirk Van Bulck x Marina Van de Velde. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1381 with a Jacob Poortvliet x Louis Thijs which has scored at many races. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1368 with a Billy Thomson of Nottingham Gaston Van de Wouwer.

Hunmanby Homing Society. 3 members sent 31 birds with the red card and Second and Fourth places going to Tony Robson on 1332 and 1331 and 1303 with three of his consistent Marina Van de Veldes. Third place went to John & Les Hill on 1304 with one of their consistent Busschaerts.

 

Central Section: 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 6 members sent 38 birds with the red card Third and Fourth places all going to Williams Bros on 1367 1290 and 1290 all with his Malderhart cocks. Second place went to Fransiosy & Bennett on 1316 with a Vanden Bosch hen.

Hull Millennium Club. 6 members sent 77 birds with the red card going to Mark Taylor on 1371 with a Gary Cox pigeon which Mark has had 3 wins out of 4. Second and Third places went to Kev Green on 1371 and 1347 with a pair out of his Ark Family. Fourth place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1343 with a Kirt & Mark Mcall that has found its form and has had 3 cards not. The Members would like to wish Keith a speedie recovery after his operation.

Cottingham Homing Society. 4 members sent 37 birds with the red card going to Graham Howman on 1306 with a Dave Robinson Vandenabeele. Second place went to George Smith on 1275 with a Red Fox Janssen x Janssen. Third place went to Graham Howman on 1272 with a cock that won Battle and was 2nd section and was 3rd from Arras. Fourth place went to Dennis Smith on 1269 with a bird having its first ever race having previously only been trained up to 10miles.

Driffield Homing Society. 3 members sent 60 birds with the red card going to Paul Woodmansey on 1360 with a yearling self bred Bob Mallinson stock had a 3rd Billericay and won as young bird. Second place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1358 with a 2yr old cock which won Peterborough. Third place went to Pete Dixon on 1343 with a T & P Douthwaite Arien Vereckt was 4th Billericay. Fourth place went to Paul Woomansey with a 3yr cock which has had 2 x 1st 1 x 2nd and has topped the combine also self bred Bob Mallinson bird.

North Hull Club. 4 members sent 24 birds with the red card going to oldest member Maurace Shutt on 1349 having his second race of the season with a Les Pollard Soontjen. Second and Fourth places went to Pate & Angie Burke on 1316 and 1267 with a pair of Staf Van Reets one now a multi card winner in retirement. Third place went to Barry Kipling on 1308 with a Richard Crawford Hereman Ceuster.

Kingston Flying Club. 3 members sent 31 birds with the red card for the second time  going to Andy Hunter on 1372 with a gift Hereman Ceuster off Jamie Manual. Second place went to E. Barnes on 1308 with a cock of his good pigeon Liverpool lass. Third and Fourth place went to Andy Hunter again on 1297 and 1297

Little Weighton Club. 3 members sent 19 birds with the red card and Second Third places going to Fawcell & Oliver on 1034, 1022 and 775 with his Dave & Hawkins of Doncaster hen. Well done Terry.

Walton Priory Club. 7 members sent 53 birds with the red card going to J. Hopper & Son on 1354 with a Gift bird off Anthony Downs from Smith Bros Hereman family. Second place went to M. Foster on 1337 with a Fred Davies Vandenabeele that won Arras last week. Third place went to J. Hopper & Son on 1335 with a T & P Douthwaite Arien Vereckt cock. Fourth place went to D. Rasul on 1293 with a Gift bird from Beadale in N. Yorks.

Jar In Hand Club. 4 members sent 43 birds with the red card and Third places going to H. Wallace on 1295 and 1271 with a pair of Soontjens. Second and Fourth places went to Mr & Mrs King on 1272 and 1264 with a pair of Cooremans.

Wawne Ferry Club. 10 members sent 74 birds with the red card going to Anderson & Anderson on 1321 with a R. Williamson Flor Engels x Andri Giedra (Darton) Busschaert. Second place went to Majic Szifer on 1309 with a Koopman. Third place went to Jim Lowther & Son on 1305 with a self bred Wall Lunt & Green x Best Friend Harry Kemp stock. Fourth place went to Anderson & Anderson on 1305 with a K. Blowman Gevaert Van Schoonsse.

West Section 

Eastrington P. F. C. 6 members sent 64 birds with the red card going to George Atkinson on 1351 with a Vandenabeele which is one of three brothers all won. Second place went to George Atkinson on 1351 with a De Seer. Third place went to George Atkinson on 1328 with one of his own breed. Fourth place went to George Atkinson on 1327 with a brother to the winner.

Norton I. Flying Club. 10 members sent 84 birds with the red card going to B. Dawson on 1361 with a pigeon bred from a NEHU Strag and an Irish Strag this cock was coming early on then came back hawked but has come good with a first for Brian. Second Third and Fourth places went to Brian Ford & Sons with their family of Hereman Ceusters all having scored before with minor cards. M. Burdett wins the pools £27

Kirbymoorside F. Club. 6 members sent 60 birds with the red card and Fourth place going to Albert Tateson on 1341 and 1258 with his pure Leemputtens. Second place went to Freddie Grimmer on 1280 with a Jaynes Angel x Louis Coorman. Third place went to Howard Jackson on 1259.
