Today Is A Great Day!

A decision to open more Northerly marking stations for BICC racing will take place today. Membership will continue to grow and some leading lads will chance their arm-the race prog. will test them and the birds to the core. Quality will dictate the survivability of the new marking stations as top fanciers and their birds are scarce in the acid test of Northern race reality. It takes fanatical dedication with birds in great condition. Barcelona International produces the class acts and is a racing barometer of great distinction. I am right behind the wisdom and innovation of the BICC which is thriving due to the foresight of the founder members e.g. Tony Cowan-a character and a half-and the exemplary intellect of the organisational committee. I want the men of the North to bask in the glory of modern and great, distance and marathon racing. The opportunity will present itself-can you rise to the challenge, the ultimate test of your racing prowess? Time will answer the question.

Marathon Condition: Over 700 miles, they will not be up in the clock if out of condition. With my unique feeding system we fuel them up with energy and fat reserves over the months prior to the big race. Paired March a steady increase in race distances in the prog. is undertaken with as much time on the wing as possible with a ten to twelve hour fly 3-5 weeks before the main event. I like em blown up, yet the internal organs lined with fat for speed/endurance races. Then, if the bird has potential you may crack Barcelona. Many birds forage and zoom in out of race time-a few will hack the real distance. I like Vydex and Rohnfried substances as liquid feeding in the build up weeks before the race. The muscles on the pectoral/chest area will be large and soft. Some birds drop on the loft in good order and these are worth breeding off. Wise to realise that no pure strains exist, just the egos that name them. With the expansion of The BICC more and more people will specialise in the races with reputations on the line and a lot at stake-great condition is crucial to the realisation of objectives.
