Pole Position Winning Louis Cooreman Cock By Good Corn

“The Original” Around The Up North Combine

Pole Position Winning Louis Cooreman Cock

By Good Corn

The second old bird race of the Up North Combine race programme was scheduled for Saturday 13th June but like the previous weekend the weather was not kind to us which resulted in the members basketing their birds for Newark Show Ground on Sunday 14th June for a Monday 15th June liberation just like the previous week. Due to the very poor weather both at the race point and on-route there was no chance of an early liberation but looking at the weather forecast it was always going to be afternoon before getting the birds away. It was all system go for Group 3 when the strings were cut at 1.40pm flying into a south wind. Group 3 consists of the East Cleveland Federation, North York’s Federation, Middlesbrough & District Federation, Teesside Federation, Tees Valley Federation, Hartlepool Federation and South East Durham Federation which saw a massive 9,047 birds going up.
