THERE WERE A LOT OF FEDS AT YEOVIL, SO IT WAS A CASE OF GETTING AWAY OR LOSE YOUR SLOT, THE BIRDS WERE RELEASED AT 1-15 INTO A SOUTH EAST WIND, TURNING SOUTHERLY ON ROUTE, AND IT TURNED OUT ANOTHER WARM SUNNY AFTERNOON. THE BIRDS MADE LIGHT WORK OF THEIR JOURNEY HOME, EXCEEDING THE MILE A MINUTE MARK, WITH MANY WHIZZING PAST THEIR LOFTS.

CONGRATULATINS TO JOHN GILBERT OF BIRCH COPPICE, HE CERTAINLY HAD HIS YB TEAM BACK ON FORM FOR THIS ONE, TAKING THE FIRST FOUR IN THE FED ON 1789 (2); 1786; 1785; FOLLOWED UP BY TAKING 6TH AND 7TH ON 1781; 1780; JOHN’S FLYING A BLEND OF HIS OLD BUT STILL SUCCESFUL WILDEMEERSCH WITH THE LAMBRECHTS.
