BURTON & SOUTH DERBYSHIRE FEDERATION.
IT’S A WEST SIDE STORY OUT OF YEOVIL AS DOUG NESBITT & SONS TAKE 1ST AND 2ND FED.
Saturday May 19th saw 123 members send 2103 birds to Yeovil, it was another warm sunny day with hardly a breath of wind, what wind there was came from the easterly quarter. The Somerset race point and the slight east in the wind proved very profitable to the western side lofts in the fed, with Hill Ridware filling their boots. The birds were liberated at 09-30 into a light NE wind.
Congratulations to Dougie Nesbitt & Sons on taking 1st & 2nd fed on 1573; 1569; both Belgian rung Leo Heremans hens, the winner was also their first bird the week previous taking 4th club out of Kingsdown. She was followed by the hen that took 7th open MCC out of Portland, well done Dougie
