Cracking start to the new season sees D.Nesbitt & Sons take the first four in fed out of Hullavington.
Saturday May 1st saw the opening race of the 2021 season, 78 members from 9 clubs entered 1760 birds for the first of two Hullavington races. The birds were liberated by Alys at 09-50 in a light N.E. wind and they made light work of their journey home, quicker than I thought! There was obviously some east in the wind as Rugeley and Lichfield lofts dominated the result, but there couldn’t have been too much north for the leading birds to exceed 51 mph.
Congratulations to Mark Nesbitt of Rugeley, he took the first five at Hill Ridware and first four in the federation. His fed topper on 1513.9 was a 2yo Belgian rung Leo Hereman hen, she was followed by another 2yo Hereman hen on 1513.4; a yearling Hereman cock on 1513.1 and another 2yo Belgian rung Hereman hen on 1511. His 5th arrival took 18th fed on 1479.
