1st EDC Members in 2016 INFC Nationals

 

The East Down Combine will be 50 years old in 2017 and already thought is being given as to how best to mark this occasion throughout these years many of it’s members have produced some memorable performances .Once again this year EDC members have Featured in the Open results in all six Nationals run by the Irish National Flying Club and the first EDC bird in each of the 2016 nationals was as follows

From The Skibbereen OB National it was Bangor’s Reggie & David Moore who had the first EDC bird finishing 45th open 41st North Section from an overall entry of 4,498 birds and this partnership had once again enjoyed another good season in 2016.

       

   

       

   

   

From the Sennen Cove from a total entry of 4,325 birds it was Crossgar’s Paddy Murray 1st EDC at 5th open 2nd North Section.

The 2016 King’s Cup was a difficult one and P Brown & son of Annsborough had a good one at 12th open 9th North section from an entry of 2970 birds

From the Friendship National from Quimper Dundonald’s Burns Bros finished 3rd Open from 1134 birds and this is a partnership with a great record in the French Nationals

Then from the Young Bird Nationals starting with Penzance it was Alistair Bradley of Ballynahinch who finished 55th Open 45th North Section and this followed on from his EDC Success just prior to this race when he was 2nd Open EDC from Skibbereen YB Derby. The INFC entry in Penzance was 2174 birds.

The final INFC National of 2016 was flown from Skibbereen with an entry of 2966 birds and the best EDC bird was to the Cloughey partnership of Harper & Young who were 6th North Section 59th open.
