More success for Harper & Young

Saturday the 4th August saw the East Down Combine birds in Tullamore for the first of the two races from there and liberation took place at 10am into a light Westerly wind and claiming their 2nd open win of this year?s young bird season it was the Cloughey partnership of Harper & Young who had two together for 1st and 2nd open and section , the next three birds were then into the West section to the Ballylesson lofts of John Patterson and S Casement and son and then it was down to Annalong to John Trimble & son for 6th open .The next 17 open places were then shared with the lofts of Harper & Young and Gordon bros & sons . After three young Bird races a pattern of where the early birds are is emerging and there is still a notable variation in winning velocities across the various Combine clubs .
