MOTHER & DTR PARTNERSHIP WIN FERMOY
For the 4th race of the year the East Down Combine were in Fermoy on Saturday the 5th May and mist and Fog early in the day delayed the start until it lifted and the 5000 plus entry were in the air at 11am into a helping Southerly wind which saw the first 19 birds in the Combine record velocities over 1900ypm .
The Open winners this week were to the Downpatrick Premier partnership of Mrs E Wynn & dtr who recorded a velocity of 1973ypm ,congratulations to them on this performance and I hope to have a photo shortly ,they were closely followed by last week?s open winners Cromie & Magee & son of Ballynahinch and we stay in Ballynahinch for 3rd open to Alastair Bradley .The open places were shared around many Combine clubs which saw the West section being won by Cromie & Magee & son whilst the East section was won by Mrs Wynn & dtr .
