MR & MRS S BROWN WIN THEIR SECOND OPEN OF THE SEASON
A poor weather forecast for Saturday May 15th for the race from the Horse & Jockey in Co. Tipperary led the Combine weather committee to delay race marking until the Saturday evening with a race planned for the next day and with a light Northerly wind the birds were released at 9.15am on the 16th and the velocities reflected the light head wind .
Pride of place topping the open for a second time from the three races flown so far was the Dundonald partnership of M/M Brown of Dundonald on 1328ypm who had another super race with 4 birds in the open top 20. 
In 2nd open was the veteran Ballylesson fancier John Patterson who had another good race and both 1st and 2nd open take the top two places in the West Section.
Leading the East Section was the Bangor partnership of Reggie & David Moore at 3rd & 4th open with further two birds making the top 20 in the open .
Newtownbreda’s B Hogg & Sons continue their consistent performance with 5th & 6th open
and these are followed by the Annalong loft of K Rooney ,son & dtr who take 7th ,8th &9th Open and took the first 12 places in the Annalong club ,another outstanding performance from this partnership .
