The New North Road Amalgamation - 03-11-20

Hi everyone, just a few updates to announce and keep folk in the loop with things after a successful season with some good racing in what has been a dreadful season for all with the Covid restrictions affecting everyone.

We did deliver our four old bird races which is normally five but with a short season we pulled them in and also we operated the young bird race were the young birds was not really affected but we got there in the end.

We have paid out more prize money back to our members than last season which is very positive and attracting with operating one less race than normal hopefully next season more prize money can be paid back out as we are more or less a zero profit organisation were we like to pay everything back out to the members as it’s always nice to have something back in your pocket to show for all your hard work A’s pigeons can certainly be just that hard work!

Our 2021 race programme is ready to now be announced depending on the RPRA liberation site availability and the Covid restrictions hopefully we all will be still able to operate our old bird race program is as follows at Hexham on the 5/6/21 with transport costs of 50p per bird then Thornton Park on the 12/6/21 at £1.50p per bird transportation cost then Creiff on the 26/6/21 at £1.50p per bird transportation cost then Elgin on the 17/7/21 at £2 per bird transportation and last but not least Thurso on the 31/7/21 at £2.50p per bird. Young birds at Saint Boswells on the 30/8/21 (Futurity race only) no costs apply then 25/9/21 Berwick at 60p per bird.

The Amalgamation will also be operating a two bird section were only two birds per loft can be entered and a separate liberation will take place for these birds after the main amalgamation birds have been liberated with a 15 minute time frame again with 100% of entry money and pools paid back out to generate some decent prize monies to fly for all members of the amalgamation can take part in this race if they wish to or not it reflects the old traditional north road two bird championship club were a separate liberation took place and a wider band of flying members took apart in this organisation it’s something new to try and offers something back and being fair with two birds against two.

Also the Amalgamation is operating a Futurity race from Saint Boswells with the young birds were the Futurity rings are priced at £5 per ring and a limit of 10 rings per loft with all the sale money of all the rings and the sale money of the Futurity youngsters being sold a various location auction events all this money will go into the prize money pot with only the cost of the fuel and the convoyer and prize cards and liberation site costs will be deducted to fly for all scoring parties will be obtain again no percentage of profit will be held back.

Everyone who keeps racing pigeons can take part in this event but only persons in the central Midlands the West Country wales and the West Midlands areas who fly north road can purchase the birds to fly, the prize money of two parties of breeder and buyer will be spilt 50/50 or if breeder and buyer are the same 100% of the prize winnings will be paid to them. If auctions cannot take place then online and advertising sales will take place and the fancy press made aware of this process if Covid restrictions are in place we will make our best efforts to make sure the birds are sold if not at the traditional auction pen way at vicarious locations also a wide spread marking station facilities will be available across these areas if you would like to purchase any rings or for additional information please contact Shaun Pilgrim on 07399499225 ring bookings are now being taken.

A online website will also be in operation in 2021 were we can supply information and results out more quicker and wide spread We are trying different things and trying to provide something back so let’s all hope 2021 is a better season for us all So that’s it I believe for now on keeping you all updated on things arising  I would like to thank people who work hard behind the scenes in supporting and helping us with a big thanks to The Lander Family, Dave Smith, john Norris, Corrine Szmaglik the Haymes family and to Shaun Pilgrim in aiding with the Futurity administration and to Elimar Pigeon Services Limited for the article sections and uploads.

Take care, all the best for now.
