In the last write up I said that one member had scored highly in a National Race and I would like to congratulate club Secretary Steve Sheffield for his 2nd Section, 17th Open in the BBC National from Messac with a Blue Lindelauf Cock, who’s other performances include 2x1st Club, 24th Fed and 42nd UBI Combine as well taking some lower positions. Also while I am talking about Nationals I would like to congratulate a couple of flyers who I know, Firstly Mark Bulled of Harlow for a superb performance from Tarbes with 8 returning on the 2nd day, with all of them scoring highly in the result, With most of them being Grandchildren of, or contain the bloodlines of Ch Legacy, 1st NFC Tarbes for Mark, Also Johnny Black of Stotfold who is having a exceptional season in the Nationals and Internationals, having won 3x1st Sections this year as well as taking other positions in either the NFC or BICC, including in a 10 day space taking 6th and 9th Section, 80th & 115th NFC National Tarbes, 1st Section 93rd BICC International Pau and 1st Section, 38th Open BICC Agen International. For those of you who don’t know John, he started the season with a race team of 27 birds, which included 11 Yearling Cocks, 9 Old Cocks and 7 old Hens, and they race right thru to Barcelona which is 742 miles to John and as I write these notes they should be on their way home now with over 17,000 in the International, and I am expecting John to be near the top of the BICC’s Open result, as well as seeing Mark. If you have sent, good luck and hope that you get them all.
Until next time, enjoy your racing and take care.
