Dunbar on the east coast of Scotland,was the last race of the season for the federation.This race point has proven an excellent race point for the members this year!
The convoy of just under 1,000 were liberated at 10 15 in a west wind.The birds took around 1hr 21minutes for the 55 mile journey recording a respectable 1218 velocity and reports of good returns..
This weeks winner is Tony McGinn of Clelland just outside Newmains. Tony flies a excellent pigeon working his small team extremely well in the large Newmains club. Tony's winner is a Tommy Blair of Stirling, Vanderabelle and was on the darkness.Plenty of motivation sitting on chippy eggs.Tony was very happy with his race sending six and having three in the top fifteen of section .Tony said it was a good race with all entries home before twelve o'clock .The pigeon have been exercised around the loft as he has took most of his losses training.Thanks to Tony for the information and a great race from a small team man.
This years Combine and Young Bird Average winners were the brilliant GWP Macaloney who had a brilliant season winning at all distances.
This is another record breaking season and their level of consistency in any race conditions is outstanding.

Douglas Telfer(Dalzell Club President) sent me some excellent news of a new member for Dalzell club. Dean McGregor is 16 years old and will join Dalzell Flying Club, Motherwell this year as one of our youngest ever members . Over the last two years he has had to endure many months in hospital due to a life threatening illness and has shown remarkable courage. As part of his recovery programme , with the help of his grandfather Joe, he has built this beautiful compact pigeon loft, which is a credit to both of them(Photo enclosed).
