Messac

The weather for the race from Messac was fine and the birds were liberated at 06.15 into a light north east wind. From reports in it appears to have been a very good race.

At the BOOTLE H S, what a way to celebrate your birthday by winning a race, not just any race and to finish second as well second is definitely icing on the cake for hard working President Eddy Bradley. The winning bird is a Koopmans x Jos Thone, the parents via Border Lofts. This bird won from Carentan when he was 7th North Liverpool Federation and 31st North West Combine. Eddy's second bird is no stranger to the clock and was 2nd this time from Portland. It is a Koopmans from Border Lofts. The sire was a Federation topper from Fougeres. 3rd is W Pearman, Son & Duffy with their good Soontjens cock, which has previously had 6 x 1st cards. I believe this is being retired this year and put to stock.
