The South West of England Lerwick Club
The SWELC was at a drop back race from Coventry after some championship distance races co-joint liberation me and racing with the new north road amalgamation and international championship club from Wetherby, Hexham and Thornton Park so the drop back race took part on the 17/6/22 with an early liberation of 05.45am into a light south west wind.
The top twenty open positions were as follows winning the open plus 1st Bristol South NRFC was Alan Meacham flying 86 miles with a 2y blue pied widowhood cock being a Dirk Van Den Bulk already being a 1st and 3rd open scoring bird in the SWELC open he is bred from a grandson off Donkere Leo and his youngsters are also winning for Alan, his winning velocity was 1266.

2nd open and 1st Thornbury NRFC was Szmaglik & Humphries flying 81 miles with a 1y blue chequer cock flown on the traditional natural system and is a Van Dyke crossed Marijke Vink from Steve Bennett of Bristol crossed one of the partnership’s own bred Jan Arden’s their scoring velocity was 1264.

8th and 20th open plus 1st and 3rd Sodbury Vale club flying 80 miles was J H Cole with velocities of 1257.194 and 1221.511.
9th open plus 2nd south Bristol NRFC was Andrew Stanowski flying 87 miles with a 1y chequer roundabout system flown hen being home bred from off a Polish U & K Mazepa Leon Bores and Kellens bird crossed a Miro Chwedoruk & family of Yeovil Gabby Vandenbeale with a velocity of 1256.
10th open was D & M Moore also claiming 3rd South Bristol NRFC flying 92 miles with a 1y blue hen doing 1252.
11th open plus 2nd Sodbury Vale club flying 80 miles with a 2y blue white flight hen was Mr & Mrs Kenny Davey with a velocity of 1245.
12th open plus 1st Nailsworth NRFC was the partnership of Brimble & Caldwell flying 66 miles with a 1y blue hen being a Soojen crossed Mr & Mrs Venner of Street Somerset flown on the roundabout system with a velocity of 1240.
