This week the race from Huntingdon on the 15th of September was liberated in a Westerly wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Tony Meek of Withernsea on 1673. Topping the Central Section is Harry Kemp & Son of Hull on 1564. Topping the North Section is James McCourt & Son Dale of Whitby on 1560. Topping the West Section is B. Ford & Sons of Norton on 1551. Well done to everyone on a good race.

Coastal South Section:

 

Withernsea Homing Society.

5 members sent 107 birds with the red card going to Tony Meek on 1673 with a Vandenabeele. Second place went to Tony Meek on 1667 with one bred by Steve Turley. Third went to Tony Meek on 1648 same as the winner. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 1645 with a Geerinck x Reynart.

 

Flamborough Homing Society.

8 members sent 155 birds with the red card and Second Third and Fourth places all going to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1623, 1621, 1607 and 1605 all with their Stuart Knowles Vandenabeeles.

5 members sent 134 birds with their 2nd red card with young birds going to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1560 with a self bred Paul Fisher of Blackpool hen which has had a 5th Huntingdon and 8th Battle and wins all the pools.  Second place went to Alan Richardson on 1556 with a self bred Louis Thijs Hereman Ceuster hen. Third place went to S. Mallinson & Son Robert on 1545 with a hen bred by good friend Andy Cook of Hull from his Geerincks. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1538 with a Willy Verberck x Louis Thijs hen. All darkness.

 

Scarborough Social Club.

5 members sent 62 birds with the red card going to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1511 with one off Kens good friend Chris Vasey which has now had a 2 x 1st & 7th Huntingdon 3rd Peterborough 7th Sleaford Second place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1501 with a Pobor. Third place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1501 with a Pobor which has had a 3rd Battle & 6th Huntingdon. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1498 with a Herman Ceuster which has had a 3rd Sleaford.

Second place went to Harry Kemp & Son on 1376 with one out of his new Belgium stock. Third and Fourth places went to A & K Hajduk on 1347 and 1344 with a pair of hens.

 

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 58 birds with the red card going to George Smith on 1544 with a self bred Premier Stud Geerinck Second place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1517 with a Dave Robinson gift bird. Third place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1515 with a self bred Ardin cross. Fourth place went to  Kev Kingston & Family again on 1485 with a Wayne Browlee breed.

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club.

5 members sent 69 birds with the red card going to Dave Thompson on 1477 with a Mathews x Malderhart cock. Second and Third places went to Dave Thompson on 1449 and 1447 with a pair of Malderharts. Fourth place went to George Rudd on 1442 with a Hereman Ceuster.

5 members sent 71 birds with the red card going to Pete Dixon on 1526 with a T & P Douthwaite x his own cock. Second place went to Pete Dixon on 1418 with a Royal Oak of Manchester breed. Third place went to Pete Dixon on 1412 with a Late Ray Bell cock which has had a 1st Huntingdon and 3rd Battle. Fourth place went to Pete Dixon on 1408 with a T & P Douthwaite x Late Ray Bell. He also wins the Stourton cup and the Hagston Meat nom. Don’t forget the winter shows in November.

7 members sent 145 birds with the red card going to B. Ford & Sons on 1551 with a Albert Derwa x Herman Ceuster. Second Third and Fourth places all went to B. Ford & Sons on 1551, 1551 and 1550 all with their Herman Ceusters. Howard Jackson wins the pools £27.

This week was the clubs £100 race with Mike Shipley having the first three birds taking £90 with George Atkinson taking fourth for £10.
