YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE

NEWS

WITH SUE.

This week the race from Huntingdon on the 22nd of September was liberated in a West South West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Gavin Leahy of Hornsea on 1636. Topping the West Section is B. Ford & Sons Gary & Wayne Ford of Norton on 1588. Topping the North Section is S. Mallinson & Son Rob of Whitby on 1554. Topping the Central Section is I. Tuttle of Hull on 1538. Well done to everyone on the result and a big thank you to our race convoyer Ian for his hard work having done a great job. I would like to say thank you for the very nice messages that I have received and for all the early reports and results that came in. Till next year.

5 members sent 86 birds with the first four places going to Gavin Leahy on 1636, 1575, 1575 & 1574 all with his strong family of pigeons.

Withernsea Homing Society.

5 members sent 43 birds with the red card going to Dave Beadle on 1615 with pigeon bred by G. Rouse. Second place went to Dave Beadle on 1598 with a Hereman Ceuster. Third Place went to Dave Beadle on 1593 with a Tony Meek Vandenabeele. Fourth place went yet again to Dave Beadle on 1593 with a Hereman Ceuster x Sablon.

Flamborough Homing Society.

8 members sent 97 birds with the first four places going to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1634, 1630, 1630 & 1628 all with their family of Stuart Knowles pigeons.

Bridlington D.F.C.

4 members sent 22 birds with the red card Second, third and Fourth places all going to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1629, 1627, 1625 and 1624 all with their family of Stuart Knowles Vandenabeeles.

Holderness Flying Club.

members sent 35 birds with the red card going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1599 with a Van de Merwe. Second Third and Fourth place went to

John Wadsworth on 1596, 1593 & 1591.

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Scarborough Social Club.

4 members sent 48 birds with the red card going to Keith Todd on 1507 with a Herman Ceuster which has had a 3rd Sleaford & 4th Huntingdon. Second place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1429 with a Pobor which has had a 5th Huntingdon. Third place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1416 with another Pobor which had a 2nd Huntingdon last week. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1407 with a Staf Van Reet.

Scarborough Social club last night of basketing for this season

Message from Keith Todd he would like to thank Billy for taking his birds to both clubs while he has been having Radium and Chemo treatment in Hull, he also wants to thank the lads up the gardens and the lads at the club for all their help and support as he said he couldn’t have managed without them. Keith we will have to have a catch up soon in the pub as it was a good laugh on a Friday night.

Whitby Premier Club.

5 members sent 116 birds with the red card going to S Mallinson & Son Robert on 1554 with a Willy Verberck x Louis Thijs hen which was 4th Huntingdon last week. Second place went to S Mallinson & Son Robert on 1551 with a hen off  good friend Paul Roziers of Nijlen which has had a 1st & 2nd Huntingdon and 4th Battle also taking all the pools. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1550 with a cock off good friend Billy Thompson of Nottingham from his direct Gaston van de Wouwer stock which has had a 1st & 2 x 7th Huntingdon

Fourth place went to S Mallinson & Son Robert on 1550 with a Patrick de Meutter x Louis Thijs cock.

Cottingham Homing Society.

Fourth place went to Pete Dixon on 1422 with a Gr Son Late Ray Bell x Mr & Mrs Sumner of Wigan Cooperman which was 2nd Sleaford 2nd Peterborough.

North Hull Club.

4 members sent 24 birds with the red card going to Barry Kipling on 1480 with a self bred Herman Ceuster. Second and Third places went to S. Siddle on 1392 and 1322. Fourth place went to T. Brown.

West Section  

Norton I. Flying Club.

7 members sent 104 birds with the four places all going to B. Ford & Sons Gary & Wayne on 1588, 1586, 1586 & 1586 all with their family of sprint pigeons. M. Burdett wins the pontoon £79 H. Jackson with the pools £18 Well done.

Bri Rowson decided to give a talk on Channel Racing but Les Bowes Misses fell asleep.
