This week the race from Chelmsford on the 25th of August was liberated in a North North West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Tony Meek of Withernsea on 1253. Topping the North Section is James McCourt & Son Dale of Whitby on 1240. Topping the West Section is Mick Burdett of Norton on 1233 Topping the Central Section is K & H Green of Hull on 1232. Well done to everyone on the result
Coastal South Section:
Withernsea Homing Society. 6 members sent 125 birds with the red card going to Tony Meek on 1253 with a Vandenabeele. Second place went to Dave Beadle on 1252 with a Sablon x Hardy Kruger. Third Place went to R & S Keelty on 1250 with a John Walker Vandenabeele. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 1124 with a Sablon x Hereman Ceuster.
Hornsea & D. H. Society. 6 members sent 102 birds with the red card second and Third places going to Phil & June Edmond on 1152, 1131 and 1129. Fourth place going to Gavin Leahy on 1119
Holderness Flying Club. 6 members sent 68 birds with the red card going to Ken Lister on 1175 with a Wayne Brownley Hardy Kruger (Wayne bred these birds for Ken when he had a stoat attack in the winter killing 14 racers). Second place went to Martin Dawson on 1123 with a Kerry Mellonby hen paired to a Ceusters cock. Third place went to Martin Dawson on 1096 with a Dave Beadle Sablon x Evans Cuthbert “Boston Strangler” that has had 1 2 4 fed already. Fourth place went to Ken Lister on 1088 with another gift bird Hardy Kruger bred by Wayne Brownley.
Flamborough Homing Society. 8 members sent 138 birds with the red card and second place going to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1150 and 1150 with a Stuart Knowles bred pigeons. Third and Fourth places went to Harry Smith on 1123 and 1116 with his old family of birds.
Bridlington D.F.C. 6 members sent 38 birds with the red card and 3rd & 4th places going to Harry Smith on 1123, 1077 and 1066 with his old family of pigeons. Second place went to Norman Robinson on 1120 with his family of birds.
Coastal North Section:
Scarborough Social Club. 5 members sent 69 birds with the red card going to our oldest member Assistant Secretary Dave Pickering on 1142 with a Marina Van de Velde which has already had a 1st Peterborough and a 2nd Huntingdon. Second place went to our clock setter Keith Todd on 1103 with a Janssen. Third place went to our hard worker Andy Moon on 1096 with one of his own breed. Fourth place went to Dave Pickering on 1094 with a Marina Van de Velde
Whitby Premier Club. 4 members sent 105 birds with the red card going to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1240 with a Gary Cox of Hull hen. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1240 with a Fran de Coux x Louis Thijs hen which was 2nd Newark. Third place went to Paul Abbott & Son Darren on 1239 with a self bred Geerinckx hen. Fourth place went to Alan Richardson on 1239 with a self bred number 1 pair Louis Thijs hen also winning the pools. All on darkness flying to the perch.
Central Section:
Hull Chalk Lane Club. 8 members sent 109 birds with the red card going to Brian Rowson on 1180 with a Simon Parking x Blacks hen. Second place went to George Rudd on 1160 with a Janssen cock off his old stock. Third and Fourth places went to Dave Thompson on 1157 and 1157 with a pair of Malderharts.
Hull Millennium Club. 8 members sent 85 birds with the red card Second & Yhird places going to K & H Green on 1232, 1215 & 1215. Fourth place went to R & H Glasby on 1178.
Cottingham Homing Society. members sent 55 birds with the red card going to Kev Kingston & Family on 1154 with a Dave Robinson gift bird. Second place went to George Smith on 1146 with a Dave Robinson Vandenabeele which has had a 3rd 1st and 2nd now. Third place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1144 with a Jan Aarden cross. Fourth place went again to Kev Kingston on 1140 with a Wayne Brownley Hardy Kruger.
Driffield Homing Society. 5 members sent 49 birds with the red card going to Pete Dixon on 1224 with a Grandaughter of the late Ray Bell stock. Second place went to J W Hubbard & Son Patrick on 1077 with a Gust Janssen x Janssen which won Huntingdon also winning the W. Hagston Meat nom. Third place went to Pete Dixon on 1077 with a Royal Oaks Vandenabeele had a 3rd from Huntingdon. Fourth place went to C. & K Pallant on 1064 with a self bred from the late Doug Mills stock. Kingston Flying Club. members sent 21 birds with the red card and Second and Third places going to Foster & Bennett on 1104, 1098 & 990. Fourth place went to Gary Jones on 963
Walton Priory Club. members sent 28 birds with the red card going to G. D. Block on 1124 with a self bred Steve Sutton which won last week. Second place went to P. Rhodes on 1083 with a Carrera x Busschaert. Third place went to M. Foster on 1035 with a Tony Jeno Janssen cock. Fourth place went P. Norton I. Flying Club. 7 members sent 120 birds with the red card going to Mick Burdett on 1233 with one off his stock birds. Second place went to Howard Jackson on 1227 with a Sticker Donker x Lambrecht. Third place went to Howard Jackson on 1227 with a Barry Temple Lambrecht. Fourth place went to Howard Jackson on 1209 with a Donker also winning the pools.
