THE PLOUGH INN.
Alec Dodson commented on the 2017 successful season they had. Battle old bird proved difficult and the Arras race resulted in only 3 birds on the day. It was disappointing that the Bourges race had to be cancelled.

Tony Meek topped the combine four times excellent flying Tony. Thanks were extended to all the members for rallying round when Trevor Robinson was in hospital (Trevor is the treasurer and main E.T.S man.) Alec then introduced Graham Rouse the chief Guest who is Dave Beadles father in law and a good flyer in the Hull Federation. Graham thanked the members for inviting him to present the awards and said it was a pleasant duty hen so many organisations do not have a prize presentation.

This season it was decided to pay prize money on Combine races only.
Dave Beadle was the highest prize winner, winning 1st and 2nd Boves on the first one then took 1st 2nd and 3rd on the 2nd Boves race, plus a win inland.

Pete Davenport won 2nd 3rd and 4th Arras and 3rd Boves on the first one. Plus 6 first prizes inland. Reg Wright won 1st Battle old bird, best bird over the season and 5 firsts inland.

Tony Meek was 4th twice from Boves and 2nd Battle old bird also 4th Battle young birds and took 5 firsts inland. Alec & Margaret Dodson won from Arras.

Rob Keelty & Son were 1st and 4th Battle y.bs. and won Newark y.b. Several other members winning smaller amounts. An Excellent buffet followed, and flowers were presented to Sue the landlady and thanks extended to Sue & Steve at the Plough Inn.
