YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE

ANOTHER BRILLIANT BLACKPOOL SHOW WEEKEND
We set off on Friday at 5-45am from Scarborough with our friends Paul and Sharon Douthwaite. The weather was good and we made a stop off on the way for a quick coffee break, arriving in Blackpool at around 9-10am. We dropped the car off at the Doric Hotel and headed into the town for our breakfast, which we have at a café a couple of doors up from the Winter Gardens. Next stop was some shopping for Sharon and I with Ken and Paul heading into the show to watch a sale. After 3 hours of shopping it was back to meet Ken and Paul and head back to the hotel for a couple of drinks and a chill out in the lounge until dinner, which I must say is a four course meal and is always excellent food; we have never had a bad meal at this hotel and that must be the reason it is always full. Saturday morning it was off to the show. After visiting the Homing World stand to see Steve and everyone and have a quick catch up it was on to the Premier stand were our friends Kerry and Lisa Mellonby were and another quick catch up before heading off to the shops again, leaving the lads at the show chatting to their friends that they kept bumping into.
We all met up later and went on to the sales where we met some new fanciers and, having my camera on me, their photos might be in this article! Sunday morning and it was up and off to the show once again and a visit to the shops then off for lunch at the Italian restaurant, where we bumped into Ulrich Lemmens and his friends Bart Geerincks, Benny Steveninck and Ivan Willcks, which you can see in the photo. It was then time for a quick drink, a bit of karaoke then on to watch the football before settling down in the hotel for the evening meal and a chill out in the lounge. Monday morning and it was up for breakfast and off back to Scarborough having had a great time and another great Blackpool Show, which was once again packed out on the Saturday and a little bit quieter on the Sunday.
