WITH SUE.

This week the race from Huntingdon was liberated on the 5th July in a Strong West South West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Gavin Leahy of Hornsea on 1626. Topping the Central Section is Franciosy & Bennett of Hull on 1558. Topping the North Section is Alan Richardson of Whitby on 1536. Well done to everyone.

Coastal South Section:

 

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 8 members sent 196 birds winning the red card and taking the first four positions was Gavin Leahy on 1626 1622 1622 and 1616 all with his family of Vinx pigeons.

 

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 88 birds with the red card going to Dave Beadle on 1599 with a Herman Ceuster Roundabout hen. Second and Third places also went to Dave Beadle on 1599 & 1589 with a pair of Herman Ceusters x Danny Van Dykes. Fourth place went to Dean Adamson on 1584 no details.

Flamborough Homing Society. 9 members sent 227 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1585 with a Stuart Knowles Herman Cuester which has now had 4 x 1sts. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1585 with a Stuart Knowles Herman Cuester which scored as a young bird. Third place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1582 with a multi winning hen. Fourth place went to Harry Smith on 1577 with a self bred off his family of pigeons.  

Bridlington D.F.C. 6 members sent 52 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1557 with a Shane Reading Soontjen have its 7th first. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1550 with a Geerinckx x Ceuster. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1518 with a Busschaert gift bird. Fourth place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1510 with a Janssen

Holderness Flying Club. 9 members sent 112 birds with the red card going to Ken Lister on 1551 with a yearling cock off a pair of gift Brian Denny stock birds from Nigel Laycock. Second place went to Chris Salter on 1551 with a 3yr old Nauwelaerts cock on form won the Huntingdon race. Third place went to Chris Salter on 1533 with a yearling late bred from Micky Betts Chris was chuffed this bird has started to show some form. Fourth place went to Ken Lister on 1513 with a Sablon cock originating from Premier stud he was surprised at the way they came as he didn't think they were "bang on" just yet well done all.

 

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 5 members sent 86 birds with the red card going to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1485 with a Lee McGuire of Liverpool cock which was 1st club 1st section Billericay. Second place went to Keith Todd on 1480 with a Staf Van Reet. third Place went to Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge on 1478 with a roundabout Lefebre. Fourth place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1475 with a Pobor.

 

Whitby Premier Club. 6 members sent 156 birds with his 2nd red card goes to Alan Richardson on 1536 with a yearling Gaston van der Wouwer x his r.p.r.a hen which has had 3rd Battle & 2 x 3rd Huntingdon this year. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1517 with a multi prize winning 3yr old Frans de Coux x Louis Thijs which wins all the pools and has had a 1st and 2 x 2nd Combine. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1512 with a yearling Louis Thijs Herman Ceuster cock. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1485 with a yearling Louis Thijs cock which has had a 2nd Sleaford 5th Huntingdon.

 

 

Central Section:

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 7 members sent 64 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1558 with a Herman Ceuster x De Weer which won the first race. Second place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1534 with a hen bred off the Bourge Winner. Third place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1497 with a Jo Van Geel x Soontjen hen Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1487 with a Koopman x Vandenabeele hen which won last year.

 

Hull Millennium Club. 10 members sent 251 birds with the red card and second third and fourth places all going to Alan Stone & Son with his family of birds from the Guinness factory.

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 42 birds with the red card going to Alan Bettney on 1487 Second place went to Cook & Plant on 1464 Third place went to Alan Bettney on 1453.Fourth place went to Alan Bettney again on 1448.

 

Driffield Homing Society. 9 members sent 141 birds with the red card going to Mark Anderson on 1477 with a Paul Woodmansey Barberian x Louis Thijs. Second place went to C & K Pallant on 1470 with a Ken Gladstone Lindelauf x Van Loon cock. Third place went to Mark Anderson on 1459 with a self bred Paul Woodmansey x T & P Douthwaite cock. Fourth place went to Ian Waggott & Grandson on 1442 with a Geerinckx which scored last year. Arthur Welford sponsor won by Mark Anderson Colin Pallant Mr & Mrs Brumby & George Atkinson.

 

North Hull Club. 6 members sent 52 birds with the red card going to Barry Kipling on 1482 with a Herman Ceuster out of the big guy. Second place went to S. Siddle on 1451 with one of his own breed a Soontjen cross. Third and Fourth places also went to Barry Kipling on 1448 & 1446 with a nest pair of Herman Ceusters.  

Kingston Flying Club. 4 members sent 65 birds with the red card going to H. Wallace on 1494 with a Mark Calam Herman Ceuster. Second place went to Mark Taylor on 1490 with a self bred Gary Cox cock. Third place went to Mark Taylor on 1488 with a self bred W. Brownlee. Fourth place went to Mark Taylor n 1471 with a self bred G. Cox Herman Ceuster.

 

Wawne Ferry Club. 5 members sent 93 birds with the red card Second & Fourth places going to A & K Hajduk on 1556, 1500 1479 with his Herman Ceuster family Third place went to M. Szifer on 1482 with a Shaun Haigh from Barnsley.
