This week the race from BATTLE on the 18 of July was liberated in a South West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis of Flamborough on 1526 Topping the North Section is Alan Richardson of Whitby on 1491. Topping the Central Section is K & H Green of Hull on 1489. Well done to everyone

Coastal South Section:

Flamborough Homing Society. 9 members sent 193 birds with the red card going to   Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley Tony Ellis on 1526 with a Van Loon x Vandenabeele hen which was 6th Combine in the last Battle. Second place went to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley Tony Ellis on 1526 with a Gaston Van de Wouwer hen which was 4th Combine in the last Battle. Third place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1524 with a multi prize winning Van Dyke x Herman Ceuster. Fourth place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1520 with a yearling Van Dyke x Herman Ceuster which scored as a young bird

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 53 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1514 with a 3yr old Stu Knowles Herman Ceuster winner of 3 x 1st including 1st & 2nd Combine. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1508 with a Stu Knowles yearling Ceuster. Third place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1459 with a Gaby Vandenabeele which had 5 firsts last year and is bred by brother Ralph of Leeds. Fourth place went to with a Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1459 with a Gaby Vandenabeele.

Holderness Flying Club. members sent birds with the red card going to Ken Lister on 1515 with a yearling Premier Stud Sablon x Hardy Kruger stock and trapped well. Second place went to Martin Weaver on 1504 with a Vandenabeele 2yr old cock coming well. Third place went to Chris Salter on 1488 no details. Fourth place went to John Wadsworth on 1477 with a 3yr old originating from Paul Johnson stock and has won before.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 5 members sent 142 birds with the red card and the first four positions all going again to Gavin Leahy on 1499 1495 1494 & 1488 with his family of pigeons.

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 74 birds with the red card going to Dave Beadle on 1482 with an Albert Derwa x Gaston Van De Wouwer which has won before this year and also topped the Combine this year. Second place went to Dave Beadle on 1482 with a multi prize winning Herman Ceuster. Third place went to Dave Beadle on 1478 with a Herman Ceuster x Sablon which has carded 3 times this year. Fourth place went to Dean Adamson on 1475 with one that originates from John Rawsons pigeons.

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 8 members sent 186 birds with the red card going to hard working club member Andy Moon on 1480 from his best mate Dave Pickering with a Tony Robson Marina Van de Velde which has already had a 2nd 3rd 5th Battle a 3rd 4th Huntingdon now a 4th and 5th Billericay. Second place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1480 with one of their Pabors Third Place went to Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge on 1461 with a Will Jacobs hen bred by D. Elvidge. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1451 with one off his birds bought at Doncaster.

Whitby Premier Club. 7 members sent 128 birds with his third red card going to Alan Richardson on 1491 with a self bred yearling cock bred off Page Bros x Jelle Roziers cock. Second place went to J. Noble & Son Mark & Kieran on 1487 with a 3yr old roundabout Leo Heremans x Jos Thone winner of 9 prize cards and wins all the pools. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1474 with a 2yr old Louis Thijs Heremans Ceusters hen x off his no 1 stock pair. Fourth place went to Alan Richardson again on 1474 with a yearling hen off his Louis Thijs Heremans Ceusters x RPRA one loft winner.

 

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 14 members sent 173 birds with the red card going to K & H Green on 1489 with one of his original Ark family. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1484 with a Wayne Brownlee bird that topped the combine last week. Third place went to I. Tuttle on 1481 with a roundabout Herman Ceuster hen. Fourth place went to D. Rasul on 1472 with one bred off Richard Crawford.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 7 members sent 63 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1486 with a Joe Van Geel x Van den Bosch yearling hen which won Battle last year. Second place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1486 with a Joe Van Geel x Soontjen yearling hen took cards last year. Third place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1468 with a self bred P. Sullivan cock. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1486 with a Vandenabeele hen had a 2nd at Battle this year.

Cottingham Homing Society. 3 members sent 24 birds with the first four places going to Bettney & Plant on 1400 1378 1377 & 1369.

Driffield Homing Society. 9 members sent 130 birds with the red card going to George Atkinson on 1444 with a Vandenabeele that was 3rd Billericay 2 weeks ago. Second and Fourth places went to George Atkinson on 1444 & 1420 with a pair of Gaby Vandenabeeles. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1437 with a Vandenabeele which won last year at Huntingdon. Wawne Ferry Club. 6 members sent 82 birds with the red card going to M. Szifer on 1445 with one off his Shaun Haigh of Barnsley. Second place went to M. Szifer on 1445 with a Haniz Meier. Third and Fourth places went to A & K Hajduk on 1438 with a pair of Herman Ceusters.

North Hull Club. 4 members sent 36 birds with the red card going to Barry Kipling on 1458 with a very consistant Herman Ceuster cock. Second place went to Steve Siddle on 1439 with a multi card winning Ceuster. Third place went to Steve Siddle on 1415 with a 2yr old Herman Ceuster. Fourth place went to S Siddle again on 1415 with a yearling Ceuster x that won last year.  

Kingston Flying Club. 2 members sent 39 birds with the red card going to Mark Taylor on 1461 with a self bred Gary Cox Herman Ceuster. Second place went to Mark Taylor on 1448 with a self bred Gary Cox Herman Ceuster which has won before. Third and Fourth place went to Mark Taylor on 1439 and 1434 with a pair of self bred Shane Redding blood lines.
