YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE

NEWS

WITH SUE.

This week the race from Huntingdon on the 30TH of August was liberated in a North West Wind. Topping the Combine and the Central Section is George Rudd of Hull on 1190. Topping the South Section is Keith Walsh of Holderness on 1184. Topping the North Section is J. McCourt & Son of Whitby on 1156. Well done everyone with clubs reporting excellent returns.

Central Section:

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 10 members sent 195 birds with the red card going to George Rudd on 1190 with a Herman Ceuster hen. Second and third places went to Williams Bros on 1109 and 1098 with a pair of Mandelartz x Ceusters. Fourth place went to Bri Rowson on 1059 with a Soontjen hen.

Hull Millennium Club. 12 members sent 309 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hall on 1169 with his Lacie Brocken from his allotment. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1159 with a Soontjen from the Guinness Factory. Third place went to D. Robinson on 1156 with a Carrera Vandenabeele x Grechen Harman. Fourth place went to D. Robinson with one from Frank Bristow 

Cottingham Homing Society. 4 members sent 73 birds with the red card and Third places going to Andy Cook on 1139 & 1136 with his strong team of Geerincks. Second and Fourth places went to A & K Marshall on 1137 & 1120 with their Herman Ceusters.

Driffield Homing Society. 6 members sent 129 birds with the red card going to G. & G Ringrose on 1098 with a self bred Bob Mallinson x P. Douthwaite hen. Second place went to G. & G Ringrose on 1074 with a cock bred by Bob Mallinson. Third place went to G. & G Ringrose on 1041 with a self bred Paul Woodmansey x Paul Douthwaite hen. Fourth place went to George Atkinson on 1008 with a Vandenabeele cock. Arthur Welford sponsored the race 1st & 4th Gary Ringrose 2nd J. Hubbard & Son 3rd Geoff Acey.

North Hull Club. 6 members sent 72 birds with the red card going to S. Siddle on 1078 with a Van Rijn x Soontjen from Paul Rhodes. Second place went to S. Siddle on 1076 with a Janssen Van den Bosche from Dave Palmer. Third place went to C. Wood & Son Philip on 1050 also taking the pools. Fourth place went to S. Siddle on 1041 with a with a pigeon out of his multi card winner. 

Kingston Flying Club. 3 members sent 86 birds with the red card going to Mark Taylor on 1112 with a self bred Gary Cox Herman Ceuster. Second place went to Mark Taylor on 1097 with a self bred Gary Cox Herman Ceuster x Geerincks Third place went to Mark Taylor on 1083 with a self bred Gary Cox Geerincks. Mark bought a team of pigeons off Gary and they are certainly performing for him. Fourth place went to Mark Taylor on 1082 with a Shane Redding Herman Ceuster

Wawne Ferry Club. 3 members sent 103 birds with the red card Second Third & Fourth all going to Keith Gleeson on 1011 1010 1009 & 1006 all with his team of Hereman Ceusters.

Coastal South Section:

 

Holderness Flying Club. 8 members sent 292 birds with the red card going to K. & S Walsh on 1184 having a good race with his team off Gary Cox excellent pigeons the first is a  Zwols x Herman Ceuster. Second place went to K & S Walsh with a Gary Cox Van den Bulck. Third place went to Ken Lister with last weeks combine topper off John Wright stock and is a Geoff Cooper x with J. Dickens of Northern Ireland blood. Fourth place went to K & S Walsh again with another from Gary Cox Herman Cuestar x Zwols.

Flamborough Homing Society. 7 members sent 305 birds with the red card going to Chris Mark & Lynne Bell on 1161 with a Vandenabeele from stock purchased from Brian Shipley of York. Second place went to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley Tony Ellis on 1152 with a Rouw Sablon bred down from Machine of Marshall, Marshall & Smith Third place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1149 with a Van Dyck Herman Ceuster off multi prize winner. Fourth place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1149 with a Herman Ceuster bred off prize winners now stock.

Bridlington D.F.C. 6 members sent 56 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1149 with a Shane Redding Van den Bulk. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1139  with a Stuart Knowles Romein Klien. Third place went to Gavin Fletcher on 1033 with a self bred. Fourth place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1018 with a Stuart Knowles Herman Cuester.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 7 members sent 185 birds with the red card and Second place going to Phil & June Edmonds on 1129 & 1035. Third place went to W. Chew on 1003. Fourth place went to New Member D. Brown on 999. 

Withernsea Homing Society. 3 members sent 37 birds with the red card going to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 845 with a Ken Anderson x J. Rawson pigeon he calls Houdini as it somehow manages to get out through the bob wires all the time. Second and Third places went to Chris Gray on 774 & 773 with a pair of Staf Van Reets. Fourth place going to Dean Adamson on 770 with one off his John Rawson pigeons.   

Coastal North Section:

Whitby Premier Club. 5 members sent 119 birds with the red card and having an excellent day was James (Buba) McCourt & Son Dale on 1156 with a self bred Paul Fisher Bosua roundabout hen. Second place went to Stewart Mann & Son Charlie on 1156 with a cock bred by Geach Bros, McKenna & Chapman of Hartlepool from the Van Loon x Van Schoorisse. Third place went to James McCourt & Son Charlie on 1156 with a Bosua x Leo van Rijn roundabout hen. Fourth place went to James McCourt & Son Charlie on 1154 with a Herman Ceuster hen out of race team. Paul & Darren Abbott win the pools.

Scarborough Social Club. 4 members sent 79 birds with the red card going to Keith Todd on 1155 with a Pure Hereman Ceuster having its first race. Second place went to Dave Pickering on 1149 with a Tony Robson Marina Van de Velde. Third Place went to Dave Pickering on 1120 with one out of Ken Skelton Stock. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1116 with one self bred off Dave Thompsons cock x Ken Skelton Herman Ceuster hen late bred having its first race.
