YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Chelmsford on the 12th of September was liberated in a West south West wind. Topping the Combine and the Central Section is Paul Rhodes of Hull on 1447. Topping the North Section is S. Mallinson & Son of Whitby on 1433. Topping the South Section is Paul & Helen Johnson of Hedon on 1423. Well done to everyone.

Central Section:

North Hull Club. 5 members sent 42 birds with the red card going to Paul Rhodes on 1447 with a well deserved win with a Hull fed breeder buyer Herman Ceuster. Second place went to Steve Siddle on 1375. Third place went to Paul Rhodes on 1344 with a Pete Mathews Ramain Legeist.  Fourth place went to Barry Kipling on 1323 with one out of Pete & Angie Burke Van Reet stock.  

Kingston Flying Club. 3 members sent 70 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs King on 1440 with a Gary Cox x Karel Boeckx. Second place went to Mark Taylor on 1376 with a Gary Cox Herman Ceuster. Third place went to Mark Taylor on 1369 with a Geerinck through Gary Cox from his Humberside Trophy winner. Fourth place went to Mark Taylor on 1365 with a Shane Reading Herman Ceuster.

Hull Millennium Club. 9 members sent 227 birds with the red card going to Paul Stamford on 1445 with a gift bird off friend Dick Mansell well trained by Kev Green. Second place went to Kev Green on 1434 with one bred off the Ark family. Third place went to Dave Robinson on 1430 with one of his Humberside trophy winner. Fourth place went to Dave Robinson on 1430 with a self bred off Frank Bristow stock.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 8 members sent 81 birds with the red card and Second and Third places going to Williams Bros on 1319, 1318 & 1288 with three Malderhartz hens. Fourth place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1287 with a self bred Phil Sullivan hen.

Cottingham Homing Society. 4 members sent 49 birds with the red card going to Bettney & Plant on 1383 with a well fancied Shane Reading gift bird. Second place went to A & K Marshall on 1368 with a prizewinning Herman Ceuster. Third place went to Bettney & Plant on 1337 with a Hardy Kruger from Micky Broton of Howden. Fourth place went to Andy Cook on 1320 with a Pitbull x Van den Bulck which has scored before.

Driffield Homing Society. 5 members sent 32 birds with the red card and the next three places going to Gary (G & G Ringrose) on 1407 with a self bred Rob Mallinson x Paul Douthwaite cock. Second place went to G & G Ringrose on 1388 with a self bred Rob Mallinson x John Chadwick cock. Third place went to G & G Ringrose on 1362 with one bred by Rob Mallinson. Fourth place went again to G & G Ringrose on 1291 with a Rob Mallinson hen. Arthur Welford sponsor was won by 1st G. Atkinson, 2nd J. W Hubbard & Son 3rd Colin Sedman. 4th Colin Pallant.

 

Coastal South Section:

Flamborough Homing Society. 5 members sent 183 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1416 with a Clive Lister Vandenabeele. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1405 with a Shane Reading Van den Bulck. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1405 with a Clive Lister Vandenabeele. Fourth place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1402 with a Herman Ceuster x Van Dyke

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 37 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1406 with a Stuart Knowles Romain Kline. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1405 with a Shane Reading Van den Bulck. Third place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1379 with a Vandenabeele bought direct at the Houten show. Fourth place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1339 with a Clive Lister Vandenabeele.  

Holderness Flying Club. 8 members sent 188 birds with the red card going to Keith & Rick Walsh on 1438 having an excellent team of 12 hens coming really well with a Gary Cox x Fran Zwols. Second place went to K & S Walsh on 1437 with a Van den Bulck. Third & Fourth places went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1423 & 1413 with some excellent pedigree stock off Simon Parkinson of Crowle who topped the mnfc NE section. Well done to you all.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 7 members sent 122 birds with the red card and Third place going to Phil & June Edmonds on 1334 & 1306. Second and Fourth places going to Gavin Leahy on 1313 & 1298.

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 20 birds with the red card and Fourth places going to Dave Beadle on 1168 & 976 with a pair of Herman Ceusters. Second place went to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1080 with their John Rawson pigeons. Third place went to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1009 with one of his French pigeons.    

 

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 5 members sent 87 birds with the red card going to Andy Moon on 1425 with one bred off Sue & Ken Skelton Herman Ceuster x Hardy Kruger stock. Second place went to Andy Moon on 1349 with a Herman Ceuster which won last week. Third Place went to Keith Todd on 1315 with a cock of Dave Thompson x with a Ceuster stock hen off Ken & Sue Skelton which has had a 4th Huntingdon. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1314 with a self bred off  Ken & Sue Skelton’s Chris Vasey cock x Marina Van de Velde which had a 2nd from Sleaford.     

Whitby Premier Club. 7 members sent 192 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1433 with a Louis Thijs Herman Ceuster hen  which was bred for South East Durham Breeder Buyer but was cancelled. Second place went to Paul Abbott & Son Darren on 1428 with a consistent cock bred by Eddy Faulkner from Leeds from his Dirk van den Bulck stock which had a 4th Sleaford and took all the pools for the third time. Third place went to Stuart Mann & Son Charlie on 1427 with a Heremans Ceuster x Mark van Daberg hen bred by Frank Riley & Son Wayne. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1424 a Louis Thijs x Frans de Coux hen bred from double winning y.m.r.c winners it was 5th last week all on the darkness.
