YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Sleaford on the 1st of May was liberated in a East North East wind Topping the Combine and the Central Section is Dave Robinson of Hull Millennium on 1307. Topping the North Section is Rob Mallinson of Whitby on 1299. Topping the South Section is C. M. & L Bell of Bridlington on 1267. Well done to everyone. We would also like to say a big thank you to Dave Coates for all his hard work taking over the secretary’s job and getting the best prices for various things including the wagons insurance etc also a big thank you to Colin Bolton & Dave Coates for getting the wagons ready and altering the water system. 

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 12 members sent 361 birds with the red card and also third going to Dave Robinson on 1307 1292 with a pair of Carrera Vandenabeele cocks. Second place went to Dave Robinson on 1297 with a Gaston van de Wouwer was 4th combine Sleaford last year. Fourth place went to D. Rasul on 1282 no details given.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 9 members sent 177 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1263 with a Koopman x Vandenabeele hen which had a 1st last year and many other cards. Second place went to T. Boynton on 1235 with a Dave Thompson Mathews hen. Third place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1219 with a Herman Ceuster x De Weets hen which has had 3 x 1st & 1 x 4th last year. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1213 with a Soontjen cross hen.

Cottingham Homing Society. 10 members sent 190 birds with the red card going to Andy Cook on 1279 with his fabulous family of Geerincks. Second place went to Bettney & Plant on 1246 working hard as always. Third place went to C. Clark on 1234 as always doing well at 80 and still chasing the ladies. Fourth place went to ever popular K. Walsh on 1221. D. Mills wins the 50 pound nom this week well done.

Driffield Homing Society. 8 members sent 124 birds with the red card going to George Atkinson on 1271 with a Vandenabeele winning many races. Second place went to Ken Gladstone on 1271 with a 2yr old Harry Smith hen having its 1st race. Third place went to George Atkinson on 1252 with a multi prize winning Vandenabeele. Fourth place went again to George Atkinson on 1252 with a multi prize winning Vandenabeele cock. A Welford s/p George Atkinson Mr & Mrs Brumby 3rd 4th G & G Ringrose.

North Hull Club. 11 members sent 185 birds with the red card going to Pete & Angie Burke on 1236 with an unraced yearling Van Reet having its first race. Second place went to Rich Crawford & Philip Wood on 1218 with a Romain Legeist off Pete Mathews. Third place went to Steve Siddle on 1205 with a M. Dawson Herman Ceuster off Scott Marriott. Fourth place went to Barry Kipling on 1199 with a Hereman Ceuster that won twice last year.  

Kingston Flying Club. 6 members sent 172 birds with the red card going to Mark Taylor on 1259 with a self bred Gary Cox Herman Ceuster. Second place went to A & B Scarah with a Vandenabeele from their Humberside trophy wining lines. Third place went to Harry Wallace on 1210 with a Mark Callam Herman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Harry Wallace on 1190 with a Gary Cox x Mark Callam Ceuster lines.

Wawne Ferry Club. 7 members sent 193 birds with the red card going to Jim Lowther & Son on 1277 with a Janssen. Second place went to A & K Hajduk on 1242 with a Staff Van Reet. Third place went to A & K Hajduk on 1240 with a Staff Van Reet. Fourth place went again to A & K Hajduk on 1230 with another Staff Van Reet.   

Coastal North Section:

Whitby Premier Club. 10 members sent 347 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1299 with a 2yr old Gert Heylen & Louis Thijs cock a winner of minor cards & had an 8th combine Huntingdon. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1299 with a yearling widowhood hen off 2 direct Louis Thijs. Third place went to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1299 with a yearling widowhood hen again off direct Louis Thisjs. Fourth place went to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1298 with a yearling cock bred by Roberts good friend Frans De Coux  of Berlaar. James & Dale McCourt win the pools.

Scarborough Social Club. 5 members sent 116 birds with the red card going to Andy Moon on 1249 with a Ken Skelton pigeon bred by D. Thompson. Second place went to Andy Moon of 1246 with a Herman Ceuster. Third Place went to Keith Todd on 1233 with a Staff Van Reet. Fourth place went again to Andy Moon on 1230 with a Marina Van de Velde a gift bird off his best mate Dave Pickering.       

Coastal South Section:

Bridlington D.F.C. 3 members sent 93 birds with the red card Third & Fourth going to O & S Wilkinson on 1225 1136 1134 with three Janssens all bred from brother Ralph in Leeds. Second place went to J & X Wilkinson on 1251 with a Lindelauf x Reynaert bred by Colin Bolton. 

Flamborough Homing Society. 8 members sent 215 birds with the red card going to C. M. & L Bell on 1267 Second place went to K. Gray & P. Atkin on 1253 Third place went to K. Mellonby S. Knowles C. Simpkin. Fourth place went to K. Mellonby S. Knowles C. Simpkin on 1247 No details given.

Holderness Flying Club. 10 members sent 169 birds with the red card going to Mal Todd on 1285 with a yearling Kruger x hen. Second place went to Chris Syrett on 1259 with a Arden Janssen x Paul Johnson 2yr old hen. Third place went to Mal Todd on 1215 with a 3yr old hen one of his own breed. Fourth place went to Mal Todd on 1200 with a 3yr old Janssen x these birds all trapped well good start to the season.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 8 members sent 215 birds with the red card going to D. Bennison on 1238 with a 2yr old. Second place went to Gavin Leah computer glitch no details. 

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 60 birds with the red card going to Alec & Margaret Dobson on 1128 with one of their French pigeon. Second place went to Dean Adamson on 1092 with a John Rawson pigeon. Third place went to new member C Gray on 1004 lost at training then came home and takes third. Fourth place going to Alec & Margaret Dobson on 941 with one off John Rawson pigeons.
