YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

WITH SUE.

This week the race from Battle on the 29th of May was liberated in a light North East turning South East. Topping the Combine and the North Section is Rob Mallinson of Whitby on 1536. Topping the Central Section is Mr & Mrs King of Hull on 1535. Topping the South Section is Chris, Mark & Lynne Bell of Bridlington on 1487. Well done to every**one.

Coastal North Section:

Whitby Premier Club. 8 members sent 228 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1536 with a yearling hen off direct Louis Thijs Herman Ceuster taking its 3 x 1st she was also 2nd & 3rd open from Sleaford this year. Second place went to Alan Richardson 1534 with a Louis Thijs x rpra cock. Third Place went to Alan Richardson 1534 with a 2yr old Louis Thijs x Jelle Roziers cock. Fourth place went to Alan Richardson 1517 with a 2yr old Louis Thijs x Jelle Roziers hen. P. Mann Son & Grandson win the pools.  All birds widowhood unless it says different.

Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 113 birds with the red card going to Andy Moon on 1487 with a 5yr old gift bird off Dave Pickering originally off Tony Robson Van de Velde and includes a 1st & 3rd Battle a 2nd 2x3rd 2x4th 2x5th and more. Second place went to Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge on 1456 with a Cawdon & Costello of Lincloln multi card winning Sablon has had 4 x 2nd including Battle last year. Third place went to Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge on 1421 with a Lefebre which was 3rd last year also lots of cards. Fourth place went to  Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge on 1411 with a Hereman Ceuster having its 4th race.

Central Section:

Kingston Flying Club. 5 members sent 128 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs King on 1535 with a self bred Gary Cox Herman Ceuster x Cooreman hen which was 2nd club & section last week and 1st club the week before. Second place went to Mark Taylor on 1514 with a Shane Reading Herman Ceuster which already has 2 x 1sts.  Third place went to Mark Taylor on 1493 with a self bred Gary Cox Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Mark Taylor again on 1476 with another Hereman Ceuster from Shane Reading. 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 6 members sent 95 birds with the red card going to T. Boynton on 1443 with a gift hen off Franciosy & Bennett. Second place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1439 with a Vandenabeele hen. Third place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1438 with a Vandenabeele hen. Fourth place went to George Rudd on 1433 with a Herman Ceuster hen.

Hull Millennium Club. 14 members sent 294 birds with the red card going to Alan Stone & Son on 1527 with a self bred. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1526 with a R. Nicholin hen which won last week. Third place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1513 with a self bred out of the Guiness Factory. Fourth place went to Dave Robinson on 1513 with a self bred Carrara x G. Holman which won the gold ring race last year from battle.

Cottingham Homing Society. 7 members sent 106 birds with the red card going to Bettney & Plant on 1444 with a John Redfern of Thorne hen. Second place went to Colin Clark on 1427 with a Busschaert x Janssen hen Colin has been in the cards every week not bad for an 80 year old. Third place went to Bettney & Plant on 1425 with a self bred. Fourth place went to Jeff Donner on 1417 with a Meldhert cross.

Driffield Homing Society. 7 members sent 176 birds with the red card going to Ken Gladstone on 1453 which was 1st last week bred from Whittaker stock. Second place went to George Atkinson on 1452 with a multi prize winning Vandenabeele cock. Third place went to Ken Gladstone on 1450 with a hen bred off James Parker of Reading. Fourth place went to George Atkinson on 1439 with a Vandenabeele cock. A. Welford sponsor 1st George Atkinson, 2nd Gary Ringrose, 3rd Ken Gladstone 4th Colin Sedman.

North Hull Club. 6 members sent 99 birds with the red card going to Steve Siddle on 1455 with a Ceuster gift bird off Martin Dawson taking its 8 x 1st. Second place went to Scott Marritt with a Martin Dawson broken off bird. Third place went to Mickey Foster on 1452 with a Mick Mallinson Busschaert x Dilsh Rasul. Fourth place went to Steve Siddle on 1437.  

Wawne Ferry Club. 6 members sent 161 birds with the red card and Fourth place going to M. Szifer on 1446 & 1446 with a pair off Shaun Haigh from Barnsley.  Second & Third places went again to M. Szifer on 1446 & 1446 with a pair of Koopmans.   

Coastal South Section:

Flamborough Homing Society. 6 members sent 135 birds with the red card going to Chris, Mark & Lynne Bell on 1487 with a 2yr old Vandenabeele cock bred by Bryan Shipley of York. Second place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1455 with a 2yr old Albert Derwa cock full brother won Bovis and Bourges. Third and Fourth place went to Harry Smith on 1434 & 1434 with a pair of multi prize winning brothers bred from Frank Harts stock purchased from Tony Ellis.

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 80 birds with the red card going to Riley Wilkinson again on 1430 with a Walter Dockx bred by Grandad Oliver. Second place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1381with a breeder buyer from Hornsea. Third place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1378 with a Janssen bred from brother. Fourth place went to Riley Wilkinson on 1375 with a Janssen that’s had 3 x 1sts up to now.  

Holderness Flying Club. 8 members sent 112 birds with the red card going to Colin Bolton on 1466 with a self bred 2yr old Hofkin cross has just separated his birds and is seeing the keenness in the cocks and also didn’t miss them. Second and Fourth places went to Malcolm Todd on 1452 & 1420 with a pair of yearling self bred Vandenabeele cocks. Third place went to Chris Salter on 1421 with a late bred consistent cock getting closer to the red card. Good returns again.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 7 members sent 189 birds with the red card & Fourth place going to Mr & Mrs D & C Bennison on 1424 & 1395. Second place went to Phil & June Edmond on 1417 with his family of birds. Third place going to Mr & Mrs Ashcroft on 1401 

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 59 birds with the red card going to Dean Adamson for the 3rd time this season on 1371. Second place went to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1353 with their pigeon which is off a French cock x John Rawson stock. Third place went to on Dean Adamson 1350 no details. Fourth place going to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1309 with a brother to their 1st pigeon.
